I'm sure if I worked for a restaurant I'd get a little 'sick' of the food they served too. I think it's like that with any industry actually. My husband is night manager at a Grocery Store and it's like pulling teeth to get him to go shopping with me. Heck, before I had my kids I was a pre-school teacher, but now, once they are out of pre-school age, it's the last option for me as a career, lol.heavenlieisland said:Unfortantly I work there....I dont eat there alot...I used to ALL the time but now that Work there..I almost hate it...Horrible pay from a Fast food empire..being teased when im in my uniform going to work....So critize it all you want...Sorry to rant but its the truth!!
Course not.fitmom said:Tuffguy - I am not lazy, in any way, shape or form. Just so you know that!
I saw those girly soynuts out on the table but i decided to grill all of the angus sirlon in your fridge instead.fallen^sparrow said:"Oops... my fault... I left the testosterone seasoned soynuts out where our passionate types could get at them"

You're making my whole point for me man. My point is that people are too lazy to reseach what they are eating. It is agaist fast food places best interest to tell you whats in it because then you may not buy it. Consumer beware.jangnim said:Gee TuffGuy that is some tough talk. I agree with some of what you say, but you know food in stores has nutritional info right on the package, I think the restaraunts should have to publish the calories right on the menu. Then your argument would really hold water.
I love the fries, but they have to be fresh. I know they are body pollution, but I will consume a small order occasionally. I just had my annual check up, and blood cholesteral is good, so moderation kids, enjoy all things in moderation. I am glad 2B is singing the song with me! You can get a very healthy spinach salad @ Subway, an O.K. salad with grilled chicken @ DQ, Extreme Pita has some nice salads and they have a yummy Whole Wheat Pita Pizza (Veggies that are fresh). Fitmom eats at these sorts of fast food places a few times a week. I usually have 1/2 hour for lunch - while I drive, so I cannot go home to eat. My husband shakes his head at the state of my car - empty water bottles, empty decaf. coffee cups, wrappers, napkins, etc. Looks like I live in there. But my house is clean! Gotta go help people to exercise! God Bless,J2Bhumble said:I eat at McDonalds, Wendys or wherever - occasionally. Maybe 6 times per year. On a road trip, it's convenient. I'll admit, I hate to see my kids eat it but the occasional McD's isn't going to hurt them. When I was in high school a REALLY long time ago before all this "fat" America was the norm, I would eat the following, 3-4 times per week: 2 big macs, a hamburger, large fries, 2 milks and a (deep fried) cherry pie (do they still sell pie?). No one made me order all that food, I had a choice. I only weighed 130 lbs. and could get away with it then but my point is I had a choice. I would hate to see fast food restaurants go away because the thought of McD's fries right now is makin' my mouth water. I don't blame the fast food places for fat America. I think people would be overweight even without McD's. No one wants to move any more. The bane of technology.
"two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" - sing it!
The beef patty for example: it's poor quality meat, their maybe up to a thousand diferent cows in one patty, and they use old, sick animals.fallen^sparrow said:Just curious... which of these ingrediants is unhealthy. Just be glad ya have a job, hun, no matter how awful the uniforms are!
McDonalds and other fast food places are a major entry point for MANY people into the workforce. McDonalds is also responsible for the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that provides housing, food, and other assistance to families that have children requiring short and long term stays at out of town Children's Hospitals. They are also a major contributer to a lot of other programs in my own community.
So the food isnt healthy...big deal...the services they provide in many other aspects are worth the few extra calories in their food.
Hahaha ok thats just gross! He thinks he is eating worms hahahahah!!I once knew this person, not the brightest star that shines, who totally beleived what he once heard on T.v., that McDonalds makes their beef patties from the worms from a special worm farm in California. You could not convince this simple person that it could not be true. He insisted. Yet, he eats these burgers regularily?????????
