The Catholic Church in Washington DC has it's problems. That's an understatement.
Those problems seem to be passed on and spread around. It's an issue of pedigree. A pedigree of debauchery.
Msgr Walter Rossi, the rector of the basilica in Washington, which was once bishop Bransfield's job, turns out to be an abuser of boys, a gay predator. Just like bishop Bransfield before him. Bishop Bransfield was a close associate of ex-cardinal ex-bishop ex-priest Mr McCarrick. Rossi was under the tutelage of both McCarrick and Bransfield. And cardinal Wuerl knew. Somebody tried to get him promoted but nuncio Sambi put his foot down. Archbishop Vigano and reporter George Neumayr confirm and tell the story.
It's an odd story about George Neumayr being persona non grata at the basilica, put on some rumored list of forbidden people, then found out, then escorted off the premises. I suspect the story will grow in coming days or weeks. Another name to watch will be Msgr Charles Antonicelli, friend of Rossi, vicar general and moderator of the curia for Wuerl, and now being granted the same role for new archbishop Wilton Gregory. He may be able to cover up for Rossi for a while.
The strange story here: Monsignor Rossi Boots Me From D.C. Basilica on Corpus Christi Sunday | The American Spectator | Politics Is Too Important To Be Taken Seriously.
For some reason I am still a Catholic. I'm not going to let such faithless priests push me out of the Church. We need to clean house. One of twelve apostles SOLD the Lord and ten of twelve ran away from the cross.
