Notinvain, first, to know whether or not you are a Christian, it's necessary to know what the true authority on this is, and that is the Bible. There is nothing else that can give you the information because it is God's word. So, anything that agrees with scripture is true, and any belief that doesn't line up with scripture is false.

To be a Christian, you need to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and is God, and that He came to earth in physical flesh, died, rose again physically from the grave and is ascended to heaven, in order to pay for our sins and win our salvation. Then, if we believe this, we trust in Him as Lord and savior. Then we submit to Him.

God promises that if we believe in Him and we confess our sins to Him, He will cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That means forgiveness, but also rooting it out of our lives. But, this can be a process and often takes years. Sometimes we have to wait for it. Do you believe this is true? If so, you are a Christian, and need good Christian support at a faithful church that preaches true doctrine. Read 1 John. It will give you a lot of information on self-testing.
