Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

And hopefully they will see that I am mentally capable of doing this.In the Navy I know that it is 6 months to sea, 6 months on land.
If you are on shore duty then you don't got to sea for the length of your tour at that shore station. You could however be assigned to a command that although may be on shore does send people out to sea to train Sailors, help them fix equipment or augment certain functions on a ship. If you are on a ship you could go out for a day, a couple days, a week, a month, several months, half a year or more and there would be inport periods that are obviously just as varied depending upon the ships schedule.
Another factor is your occupation and paygrade. Certain occupations are more sea intensive than others. Sailors in those fields spend more time assigned to a ship than others. An extreme example would be say a Quartermaster and an Equipment Operator (SeaBee). A QM's job is primarily performed at sea whereas a EO's job is performed on land. EO's may be deployed to an overseas location or even do overseas shore duty but rarely do they ride a ship unless it's to get from A to B.
How long did it take you to learn all of this!
Can't wait to learn all of this.
I hope it goes well for you. If they gave you a medical rejection for asthma though, I just don't know if they are going to approve me. But again I say, the Lord's will be done. It means a lot, but the will of my Father means more.
I hope it turns out well for you! I took the practice though with only glancing at the book, and it is quite a book. You could try for another branch like the Army I hear they are more easy going with things like that since they need people badly they will over look a lot more and try to help you get waivers for stuff. But I would first call and make sure you are totally done with your Navy recruiter. I had been trying to get in the Air Force and my Air Force recruiter wouldn't call me for days but then suddenly call asking for more info or telling me he was going to try something else to help me get in the Air Force but eventually I got a medical rejection.I hope it turns out well for you! I took the practice though with only glancing at the book, and it is quite a book.
As far as what happened, my recruiter has never called back. So I really think the answer is no. But that only means that the time is not right. Maybe one day.![]()
