Thanks! I would say that it has helped online.. hardly a stranger on here. But offline, I'm still pretty shy. I think it has helped a little to be online chatting with others I don't know, but it's still a struggle to force myself.

I do look forward to getting to know everyone here. Am trying to get my feel for the board.

Interesting Factoid #1: This is a sad fact. I lost my husband to suicide on May 2, 2009. He was bipolar but truly a genius in many ways. We were together 12 years and I miss him lots.
Interesting Factoid #2: My husband let me have a dog (Katie) four days before he died. She's one of my best friends!

Interesting Factoid #4: I'm a big kid at heart and can be a little silly...
Interesting Factoid #5: I love to travel but the only other countries I've been to are Canada and South Korea. I prefer short road trips!
Interesting Factoid #6: I was married to my first husband when I was 19. We divorced 21 years later but remain friends.

Single Thoughts: I'm doing ok alone but I miss having a companion. I miss doing the fun, spontaneous things that couples do together...If God has someone out there for me, I will be thrilled! If not, I will still be happy...just a little lonely...

Yes, it is amazing. I live at home with them right now. Mom has dementia and dad has mobility problems, but they're both still alive, and if so in Jan, they'll celebrate their 65th anniversary.

hi mutiny ... that's great. My grandparents made it to their 71st ann. They got written up in the paper at 70 .. front page of the Bangor Daily News in Maine. Pretty big deal for us. So can understand how your proud of them.

Interesting Factoid #1: Was divorced from kids father in 1997 and remarried in 1999.
Interesting Factoid #2: Second husband died in 2009. He became depressed due to bipolar and died by suicide. My heart was broken.
Interesting Factoid #3: The reason I was divorced in 1997 was due to the fact I left God for about 4 years.
Interesting Factoid #4: I love people deeply but value time alone as well.
