CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well it rained all day on Saturday in AZ where I'm at, but now it's going to be 78 today and no rain the rest of the week. My Girlfriend lives in Payson, AZ and it snowed there this Saturday. My brother in law was visiting, but is leaving today. Had a great visit. It's so nice to see God working in people's lives. He quit smoking and drinking and is very involved in his church (which is totally out of character for him) and is really a changed person (changed for the good). Went and saw Source Code last night. What a great movie! Today my BIL will be heading back to CA to his sister's house where he resides currently and be able to help nurse her back to health after her recent back surgery. He called and told her he was going to come home a day or so early and she said "shoot for tomorrow" so he feels the need to go and it is time. He isn't a problem staying with us, but is just needed at home. But while he was here he got to see his kids who are 18 and 21 and that was a real blessing for him. In the past he would come and sometimes not even see or talk to his kids, so he is definitely changed! Anyway that's what's going on around here.

Was a lovely weekend here and this after noon is sunny in the 70s. Leaves are starting to come out. Spring is here now! yaaaaa, if only my apartment was all done and rented .. but I didn't even get any interest from my last ad ... surprised me.

Had a great weekend, but had storms roll in tonight. On top of that had to take my dog to the emergency vet because she started acting very lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. Vet says she has a bacterial intestinal infection, gave her antibiotics and anti-nausea medicine.
Now after midnight, and doing laundry that I intended to do hours ago. Oh well.

I just have to say I am SO grateful that Peacechild started this thread. It's the only one that really keeps going after all this time. And it's nice to come here and find out what peeps are up to. Dayhiker I thought you had someone interested? Did their background check not pan out? Mydynte sorry about your doggy. I hate when that happens cuz they can't "tell" you what's wrong.

I just read the book Heaven is for Real about a four year old that experiences Heaven while suffering an undiagnosed burst appendix. It's a short read, but WOW what a story and a true story at that. Cool book if anyone is interested.

I did have someone interested. She backed out .. not sure why. I did ask for the down payment in a bank check. Maybe she didn't really have the money like she said she did?

I know it's frustrating, but maybe it's for the better that she backed out. Could have been a renter that caused you a lot of headaches.

So I posted on FB that I needed to find a second job like data entry or something cuz honestly I have alot of "free" time on my hands even while I am at work. Well I didn't get that, but one of my old High School friends that I just recently re-connected with told me I could become a Mystery Shopper and gave me the name of a couple of companies to try. So I signed up and they accepted me and I went and did my first shop yesterday! It's not a ton of money and you have to wait about a month depending on the date to get reimbursed but hey it's better than a sharp stick in the eye and quite honestly anything that will help me make ends meet or pay off my massive credit card debt is a God sent blessing to be sure! Anyway I'm excited.Doing another shop today.

I gotta admit we've had some spectacular weather, not too hot, not too cold...a little rain here and there, but I've had a blast out working in my yard.
Got the half fence pulled out and only 2 more posts to dig out YAY!
then I can clean out the twisted trees and thorned weeds that were growing in the easement! not to mention adding a bit more depth to my back yard
The tulips are blooming, the daffodils and iris are sprouting...though I have one bunch of daffodils that's already bloomed open...and the grape hyacinths
The unexpected surprise is that my shrub flowers in the spring...I just planted the root stock for these last spring...
