CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

3 inches of snow today ... just when I thought surely spring had to be coming.
I wish it was an April Fool's joke ... would be a great prank .. maybe its God having some fun with us here in the NE!
Well, upper 40's most of next week .. will be a little imprevement.

I wish just once we could experience snow like you guys get it doesn't get quite cold enough here.. it is Autumn here and we have a really nice sunny day..
I guess soon it will be warmer then you will be wanting the cool again..

Got 3 months before its too hot here. July. till then we will have some great days. Right now we have been below normal. But today is pretty nice. snow is almost melted and quite a bit of sun. But I don't think its got to 50 yet.
Had a pleasant surprise today, 16 wild turkeys were on my neighbor's yard. I've seen quite a few turkeys over the last 20 yrs but that was the most I'd seen in one group. kewl.

That's neat, I've seen flocks of wild turkeys, but always at a distance, never that close.

thank you for praying, it was really good, nice and calming to get to sit with God in nature. It was a beautiful day with the sun too.
I think He did surprise me with so much calm and relaxation which am very grateful for.

Glad to hear the retreat went well for you. I was just reading about "meditating" on the Word this morning. Hopefully you are renewed and will continue in that as well.
Sorry to hear about the cold weather. It was hot here this weekend. Now it's supposed to cool down (to the 70's ooooooh LOL) and it might even thunderstorm this Saturday. But the rest of the week it will be in the 80's. I just wish it would stay this way ALL year round.
Well I've had my braces on for 2 months now and my sores in my mouth appear to be getting worse not better. Wax is not helping! Oh well, another 10-12 months. Pray for 10! Pray for 10 or less!

Had some nasty storms roll through East Tennessee last night. Not sure the extent of the damage overall, but not much here at the house.

Glad you didn't have much damage at your house. It is kinda weird how many storms we have had rolling across the nation this year isn't it? Or maybe it's just me, but it seems like they are alot more frequent this year.

Probably the last 5-10 years our late March and all through April is usually filled with nasty storms. This was the 2nd really bad system to move through the area this year. Gets kinda nerve racking at times.

Our springs are always wild. I'm not exaggerating, Sunday it was 70+ degrees, and last night the temps dropped down to 37. Supposed to be back up to the 70's tomorrow and we got more storms expected later this week.
They always say, if you don't like Tennessee weather, stick around a few minutes cause it will change.
