I had a great Christmas. Went to my parents home. GF went with me. It was a nice time. They are well. Food was good. Also saw my sister.

Now its back to work .. but it snowed so hard that work was canceled, so I did the snow removal thing and did some work on the house. Now I got to pack the car again.
New Years will so be here!

New Year's...oh the gregorian calendar...yeah...the yearly excuse to get smashed and take a taxi home...then forget which parking lot you left your car in ....

Well...good morning

Today I finally finish getting the christmas decorations packed up and put away Hopefully will get the dog and cats bathed and shampooed all up and prettied up again too

Other than that...not much else going on...Bug's still on her break from school...so we'll probably head out to a movie later...

and yeah...it was a crazy new year....in my early 20's while I was still in the Corps...

I used to tease the marines that got plastered. I didn't like the taste of alcohol so I didn't drink. Partly religious reasons as well.

I didn't get to know any female Marines back then .. there were a few around, but not many.

Yep...USMC 1987-1996
Medically Retired..damn the luck...

Had a good career for those 9 years...but was admittedly the only female in my unit for several of those years ... FM's aren't as rare these days...seems more and more women are finding their way to the Corps...

Ya, the Marines were pretty good years for me. Then I was able to get 5 yrs of college out of the GI bill. That helped a lot.

What percent of ones pay is a medical retirement? Does it vary with the medical reason?
