Good morning chatters

As it turns out I have a bit of unexpected time off...

I've been released from a contract that was supposed to be good until June...alas....their buget and the company they were contracted to decided no more contractors...FT employees only...

On the upside: I've already had an interview with another company and have another Friday. Both would be contract work still, but hey...it's work!

Mom will be finished moving out Saturday...and in a lot of ways it's a relief...

I had a lovely weekend in St Louis last weekend...the Cards won the World Series...so we did all the celebration stuff, the parade etc...

So I should have a few days to catch up and check in and in general relax....sortof...
Cleaning out the garage is on the agenda after mom finishes getting the rest of her stuff out of there and I get to re-arrange furniture to hopefully fill in some of the gaps left by her stuff being gone...

I will pray Bridgit.. that you have wisdom and the funds needed.. it is hard to do it all alone on earth.. but thankfully JESUS is with us always so we can cast our cares on HIM... HIS is your joy and strength and I just want to say your doing an amazing job..

Thanks peacechild, I need all the prayers I can get. I will never forget 2011. It has been an extremely tough year for me so far. But, yes, it's good to know Jesus is with me, always. Without him I would have gone crazy already.

My work place barely offers FT position only to those within the company who already has a FT position. The rest of the hiring is all with contracts. It's very sad. Who can have a sense of security with these conditions.

Well, contract work is better than the way the temps were treated when I was working in the frozen fish business. FT is the best .. but even that can come to an end if the company wants to down size.

Okay...Got offered the job I interviewed for yesterday!!! They called this afternoon with an offer ... YAY!!!!

So I start on the 28th...
3 weeks without a paycheck is the only drawback...but unemployment will start about the same time I go back to work

Yay Gwenyfur!! Woot!

I thought 2011 was going to be my year to get my ducks in a row. I was going to lose weight, get my teeth straightened, get my finances in order. Well the only thing that got straightened out (and is still in the process) WAS my teeth! So on to 2012!
I say we all pray for 2012 to be our year (provided the Mayan's weren't right ) and we ALL have a better year!

So my church called me this morning. I can only assume it is because of a conversation I had with a woman I know. Anyway they want me to be part of a Single parent blessing. Apparently some small group adopts us and helps us for christmas? And then we go to a dinner with the other single parents. It makes me feel incredibly awkward. I like being on the blesser side not the blessing side. Also I feel that there are probably alot of people that are more deserving or needy than I am. And then she also told me I need to come by the church because someone gave them something to give to me and they want me to have it. I have no idea what it is but I am feeling quite overwhelmed at the moment.

I'm glad this has been given to you. Ya, it is easier to give for most of us. But if we don't receive some one elses blessing them we keep them from being able to give. So smile and say thanks.

This is great! God wants to bless you through these people. He also wants to bless the blessers! To God you are special and He wants to show you His love. Praise God! He is good!

I think thats lovely.. aww you are deserving.. and I have learnt to receive alot more in recent years.. we rob people people of being blessed if we don't receive.. we are actually blessing others by receiving..

Thanks everyone for your support. Last night I went and they gave me a cash gift. They are also giving us a Turkey dinner. They also gave me a coupon for a free oil change.
Last night we were filling out the paperwork because they want to know what we like and what our wishes are, and all of my kids and myself commented that we felt weird. We don't feel needy I guess. I mean I have financial needs, but I have created those. I understand about not stealing anothers blessing and being able to receive as well as give. I just feel more comfortable giving even in my need. I also feel like we already have too much. Even my oldest son said, "I have a job and I get what I want and this makes me feel weird." I am sure there are people in our church or even in the community that have smaller children or have greater needs, so that is the reason I am struggling to accept this. I asked God this morning to show me what He wants to teach me in this. Am I too prideful to accept gifts? I don't know, but that's what I asked God this morning. I don't think I am, but I don't know everything so I don't know.

Yay, Michelle!...my thoughts are that God gives us blessings because He wants us to pay it forward. Since you received this, you can now turn and help someone that you know has greater needs. Start looking around and God will show you who He wants to bless through you.

I agree, my problem is I want to pass on the entire blessing, but yeah I love giving so paying it forward is a great idea!
