Oh my! I busted my 16 year old (now 17) and his gf and I had to leave to take the younger one to the dentist. I came home to the cleanest house ever, cuz my son did not know what I would do to him. We had a long talk (me with my voice raised at times) and I made him PROMISE that he would not do THAT in my house again! It wasn't the first time they had been together. They did that at her house. I'm more afraid of him becoming a young father or getting in trouble for drinking underage at this point.

Ya, at that age they often don't think about the consequences. At our age they aren't as bad. or at least fewer.

I wouldn't be so sure, even at our age. When we do stupid and trouble comes a-callin', the consequences can be quite severe and now there's not as much time to recover from it. Of course, becoming a parent before you're ready for it carries lifetime consequences, but there's still the element of time and advice-- once you're willing to listen to your elders-- when you're young that us oldsters just don't have.

I figure there is no way I can get any one pregnant. I don't have problems talking, being up front about what is going on so that the woman and I are on the same page. I know I'm not going to get obsessive. If she says no, I just move on. No reason to force a relationship that wouldn't work. Ya, STD's are an issue still. But I've not found them to be as big a deal as they are portrayed.
I don't get what your saying about time to recover. Like in financial?

Hopefully as we become older we get wiser but that is not always the case. And dayhiker, some STD's are for LIFE so that, to me, is a heavy consequence, just sayin.

Ugh...my feet are killing me and I've had only about 4 hours sleep before coming to my day job. Thank GOD I don't work tonight! I tried SO hard to do a good job, I worked as fast as I possibly could and my supervisor still told me I should have been done an hour before!!!! Really???? I had FOUR departments! And THEN at the end of the night he yelled at me for putting my cart away telling me I could always help other people, which I was ON MY WAY at that moment to do (while another new girl was already at her locker getting her purse to go home and SHE only had ONE dept and didn't offer anyone any help!) and THEN he yelled at me for not putting up any 2 day signs and I did NOT hear him say we were supposed to. I was concerned about taking down all the ones that needed to be taken down and I didn't REALIZE that we were supposed to put up 2 day until after I was done. I JUST want to do a good job GRRRRRR I just wish I could get some positive feedback from him that's all!!!!!!!!

Hang in there Michelle..some managers often forget they aren't specific in instructions and truly refuse to accept the responsibility for attempting to make employees perform mind reading tricks.

After wearing heels all day my feet usually are killing me...I have one of those heated massage thingies under my desk at home...it was about 30 at target...I know it's an expense...but it's more than well worth it... 'cause when I get home after 9-10 hours of tromping around in these things my feet are telling me exactly what they think of my footwear choice...and it's not remotely polite!



Which reminds me....the "wonderful" (note sarcasm there) guy gave the *best* foot massages I miss that ...

I now have what is known to some as "mind over matter" in that I've lost my mind and it doesn't matter lol. I marked on my calendar for December 15th to call Jim Askel and I have NO idea who that is or why I need to call him LOL. Googling his name did not help me either lol

OK WHEW!!!! I am not totally in full blown Alzheimer’s yet! I figured out the guy whose name I wrote on the calendar is from our Linen Supply Co to remind him we won't be here the last week of the year so not to charge us for that week lol. Praise the Lord for bringing that back to my frontal lobe memory!!! Cuz I DO have the kind of mind that will mull it over and over and over and .......well you get the point LOL
Still tired, but at least I have my mind semi back

Michelle, make sure you take some time to rest otherwise you'll go crazy. I know that when I am overly tired, I can't do anything right.

I pray that you will find favor with your supervisor and that you will get help when you need it. May he be understanding and patient and not take his frustrations and problems on you. May he realize that you are an asset to his company and treat you with respect. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Keep your eyes on Him who will give you the strength you need.

I woke up to find Tal's boyfriend here last night..sigh.. thankfully on the sofa.. but they could have told me.. she is 18 and I am quite sure they are intimate.. she has younger siblings in the house.. sigh... they need to be aware of how they act... hard raising teens on your own.. her father lets Matt sleep over.. ya.. its sad he just doesn't have the same morals.. I shudder to think of what my 16 year old son does under his roof.. I have the 16 year old son coming to stay this weekend.. he hardly ever comes here.. I don't really know what to do its sad but you can only state your views and what is ok and stick with that.. they are going to do what they like anyway when your not around.. nothing can stop that....

I'm here . Don't know about the rest of the folks. Is it cold in your area of the woods?. We got rain night before last, but then it got up to about 70 so......not too wintery yet. Tonight and tomorrow (and Friday and Saturday) I have to work my second job at Kohls. I always dread going, but once I get there the time flies. I don't know what my problem is lol

Ya, those extra hours when we get to be as young as we are, our mind just doesn't want to keep going. I find the same thing on the work I'm doing on my house. I get home from work, do some little thing and I'm ready to call it a night. Yet I've got 3 hrs before bed time so I could make some more progress and if I did that each night, I'd have my new living room weeks earlier. No, I just want to good off.

Just want to say to all of you

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! I pray that we all remember what Jesus did for us on the cross is enough and anything else He does for us is a bonus, and to be grateful.
