Wow so sorry to those that had snow and power outage problems. I hate those! We are still in the 70's here so.....
Good news I survived my overnighter at Kohls. Kept very busy all night and didn't get everything done, but it was good. Was hard to sleep afterward. I slept 2 hours then woke up, slept another 2 hours then woke up to a text from my friend then slept til about 230 and got up. Was lazy all day, so that meant I was up til midnight doing laundry! Now tonight I have to work til midnight or so and then off the rest of the week.

Ya, there are a lot of people without power. I was w/o power till 4AM Sunday morning. My GF was without power till 7PM Sunday night. There are still many without power.

So, I suppose she came over to get warmed up!

Thank God we didn't get any power outages. I need to have a sum pump battery back up installed. According to the Farmer's Almanach we're going to have a very wet winter. I hope they meant a lot of snow.

Michelle, ya, two jobs can really mess with ones sleeping, especially at our age! Your scedual seems to vary, so I think that would make it hard as well.

actually I spend time at her house. Kept the fire in the fireplace humming. Then we hopped into the hot tub a couple of hours after the power returned. So we stayed warm.

Flooding .. now that is a major hassle. Hope it doesn't happen to you.

One child home from school with headaches today.. our weather is coolish and overcast but ok..

Ha ha.. no drama in this one either.. but yeah feeling bummed.. its nearly my tomorrow.. its 11:35pm.. I just feel lonley tonight..

Also last week I kissed my ex.. which was nice but horrid.. because it dredges up all the feelings again.. I know he would be there for me in ways that I miss but yet that is just it.. he's not there in any other way.. I will see him tomorrow when I drop the kids off.. and I know the temptation is gonna be great..

Ok yes this one has drama... ha.. I just think what am i waiting for.. nothing happening.. and yet I am only going to upset myself if I just do whatever ya know.. sigh..

What are you tryin to say dayhiker? . J/K I got off work last night at about 1:20 AM but didn't get to sleep until 2:30ish. Then thankfully I woke up at 5:30 and realized I forgot to set my alarm! I thought for sure I checked it, but anyway. My youngest stayed home today with a major headache. I had one too when I woke up, but Tylenol fixed me right up. I've been busy at my 1st job this morning so, not feeling the tiredness. After work my youngest son and I have Ortho appts and then I will make dinner and probably after that collapse trying to watch Dancing with the stars or something . BUT the good news is I kinda got thrown to the wolves last night at work so I actually learned how to do my job. They gave me the Junior's dept which was kinda overwhelming. I did miss some signs but I did my best for my first time, not too hard and I actually feel like I can do it now. Don't know when I work next but....

Did the money of the father of the guy your helping out actually get the money to you?

I am frustrated as I have to get an estimate to (1) repair/replace some of the outside trims of the house and have all of them painted, (2) service the heat pump, and (3) have a back-up battery installed on my sum pump in case we lose electricity this winter. I don't have any cash to do all that and had to increase my credit limit to be able to pay with the credit card.

It's hard to have to do all that all alone and without the funds necessary. I'm only increasing my debt amount! Keep me in your prayers, asking God to provide and to help me find strength and joy in Him during these challenging times.

No the kids haven't said anything. My youngest still thinks I can just put whatever on credit cards, which I can, but am no longer willing to. In fact my pool is getting green and it's not with envy it's algae cuz my pool motor broke and I have to wait 2 more weeks til I get my vacation pay to get a new/used motor because I refuse to add more debt to my overwhelming million dollar debt I already have (well OK it's not a million but it might as well be). And YES Nathan's dad has given me money consistently for 2 months now.

I understand completely where you are! Praying for you to find joy even in your trials. God is trustworthy, just not always in the way we see as best. He is there working behind the scenes and only wants what's best for us. I pray you see this in the midst of your situation.

I will pray Bridgit.. that you have wisdom and the funds needed.. it is hard to do it all alone on earth.. but thankfully JESUS is with us always so we can cast our cares on HIM... HIS is your joy and strength and I just want to say your doing an amazing job..
