CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

well see ya in a couple of weeks cuz next week I will be gone all week to South Carolina. Have fun on your vacation! I know you will.

It was good. I was actually glad to get home. Myrtle Beach was really nice and the water was warm, which surprised me cuz California beaches are always cold. Lots of crazy people down there on the boardwalk. We stayed in some ghetto motel and I could not wait to get OUT. I was outside talking to the gal that was working there and her boss came out and started yelling at her, right in front of me! "I don't pay you to stand around and talk to people!!!!" I was like Whoa! so I left and went back to my room. Geez. I couldn't even bring myself to shower there, it was just bad! So after we checked out we paid for parking for the day and went to the beach. We both got burnt! So we went from there to visit and Alligator park (cuz we had alot of time to kill) and then we went to dinner at a place called Dicks. It was funny. They make you wear these hats that they put funny sayings on. Of course it's all kind of sexual cuz their saying is "They have Hooter's we have Dicks" The waitress is purposely rude, which I didn't know at first but after she explained I was cool with it. Then we drove back to Columbia to the hotel we originally stayed at for my son's graduation. It was more expensive, but at least we knew it was nice. The last day we went to the movies and saw 2 guns. So all in all it was a good trip. My son's graduation and family day was good too. We saw a movie on Family Day "Man of Steel" and on graduation we got to take him to the airport. Of course they moved his first flight up (didn't ask, just did it) and then he ended up having to sit at the airport in Atlanta for about 6 hours cuz of delays etc. Sure is nice having him home though. And today was the first day of school for my younger one. He was up before me which is unheard of LOL.

Glad the vacation went as well as it did. Too bad about the hotel dive tho. Dicks, I'll have to remember that place for when I visit there again. Which might be in Oct.

The food was really good. They sit you family style in long tables. There was a group of 4 girls next to us and when the waitress came up she said 6? and I said "no they are separate" and she just looked at me kind of rude and said 6! and walked away. When she came back and was explaining she said "see you thought I was being a b*tch when I was really being a d*ck huh? Then later when she brought our drinks she just set them on the table and threw straws at us and left so we had to figure out which drinks were whose. She asked if we wanted an appetizer and when we said no, she said cheapa$$es!
You need to have a sense of humor and not be prudish to go there. My son thought it was great!

Ya, its a way to have fun at those type restaurants. Last time I was at one the waitress was talking with our food came up and shallower over, Ha, your foods ready, you can get it or it will get cold while I talk to my friend. So I went up and got the food, while making a comment about places not being able to get good help any more. lol

You got it. It was a very nice weekend. They had a really nice pool and parvillion with a dance Sat. night. Meet a few people, everyone was nice, people of all ages, but most were older. Food was good at the deli. So I really liked it. Tho I couldn't see making that the center of my life like some good.
When a new person our couple visits they give you a tour of the place. We saw quite a few new people getting the tour some I'm guessing that its something that quite a few people do once or twice a year rather than becoming a lifestyle.
