I am against it because it is different than car insurance. If I don't want to pay car insurance I can choose to not own a car, but you can't do that with health insurance and for people like me that rarely go to the Dr unless we are dying it's ludicrous that they can REQUIRE me to have insurance!
Actually you don't have to pay if you just choose not to live.
(My car is almost as optional as choosing not to live...the second car is the "luxury" that gets my kids to and from school.)
