τι δε βλεπεις το καρφος το εν τω οφθαλμω του αδελφου σου την δε εν τω σω οφθαλμω δοκον ου κατανοεις

Why but see the splinter the in the eye the brother you the but in the your eye beam not notice

But why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye but you don't notice the huge beam in your own eye?

υποκριτα εκβαλε πρωτον την δοκον εκ του οφθαλμου σου
και τοτε διαβλεψεις εκβαλειν το καρφος εκ του οφθαλμου του αδελφου σου

Hypocrite remove first the lumber from the eye your
and then you-will-see-clearly to-remove the speck out-of the eye the brother your

Hypocrite! First remove the lumber from your eye
and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

μη δωτε το αγιον τοις κυσιν
μηδε βαλητε τους μαργαριτας υμων εμπροσθεν των χοιρων
μηποτε καταπατησωσιν αυτους εν τοις ποσιν αυτων
και στραφεντες ρηξωσιν υμας

Don't give the holy the dogs
and-don't throw the pearls your in-front-of the pigs
not-then trample-under them in the feet their
and turning tear you

Don't give what is holy to the dogs
nor throw your pearls before the pigs
lest they trample them under their feet
and turn around to tear you apart.

αιτειτε και δοθησεται υμιν
ζητειτε και ευρησετε
κρουετε και ανοιγησεται υμιν

ask and will-be-given you
seek and you-will-find
knock and it-will-opened you

Ask! And it will be given to you.
Seek! And you will find it.
Knock! And it will be opened to you.

I wrote "for this is the law and the prophets," but just before posting I took out "for" (for γα&#961 and made the verse 2 sentences. I also considered "desire" for θελητε, but changed it due to "desire's" additional english meaning of sexual desire.
I also originally wrote "men," but I changed that to people, just because when you say "men" today, it seems to mean "adult males." I don't think anthropoi means only adult males.

Thanks, but desire is the meaning and should be read as sexual intercourse which simply means communication between people. Men as in anthropoi means not just men only but all mankind.
