Trying to equate an overly effusive governor from a large, demonstrative Italian family with a congressman accused of consorting with sex traffickers and being intimate with an underage teen (statutory rape at best, sex trafficking if they crossed state lines) does not compute.Don't forget Cuomo, currently in production.
Trying to equate an overly effusive governor from a large, demonstrative Italian family with a congressman accused of consorting with sex traffickers and being intimate with an underage teen (statutory rape at best, sex trafficking if they crossed state lines) does not compute.
Just as trying to equate Sen. Al Franken, who made the fatal mistake of flirting too vigorously with an actress (turned Fox News operative) in a UFO show when he was a professional comedian, with a president who is being sued for sexual assault by many of his 19 accusers does not compute.
I don't know why you think I'm trying to equate the two - I was merely adding Cuomo to the list. But since we're on the subject, the accusations against him are far more serious than merely being "effusive."
That's a very mature approach to the matter. Much better than those who, upon hearing the first mention of the accusations, immediately "knew" all about his childhood, private thoughts, whether he is guilty of anything or not, etc.
What makes it really ironic is this.
Matt Gaetz - Wikipedia

Multiple women interviewed by the FBI in a probe of Rep. Matt Gaetz told investigators the Florida Republican paid them for sex, The New York Times reports.
The women also said the congressman sometimes took ecstasy before sex and would ask them to recruit others to have sex with him and his friends.
The Times confirmed that Gaetz wired the women money via Apple Pay and Cash App.
Mr. Gaetz’s office issued a statement on Thursday night in a response to a request for comment.
“Matt Gaetz has never paid for sex,” the statement said.
