Dont matter how you spin it, if you insist Matt 1:21is only ethnic jews, you promote salvation based upon ethnicity, the flesh. At least I think we can agree it's not what we wish Matt 1:21 says that matters, but what it actually says. It's not whether it fits our theology, but if our theology fits Matt 1:21.
I don't think we will get any further. Thanks for the chat! Christ love! ✝️Dont matter how you spin it, if you insist Matt 1:21is only ethnic jews, you promote salvation based upon ethnicity, the flesh.
Take care and hope God delivers you from your false views of salvation based upon a persons ethnicity.I don't think we will get any further. Thanks for the chat! Christ love! ✝️

Don't matter how you spin it, the Gentiles are not included in Matthew 1:21. They were not Christ's people when that word was spoken. They are included in Luke 2:32 but they are distinguished from God's people.Dont matter how you spin it, if you insist Matt 1:21is only ethnic jews, you promote salvation based upon ethnicity, the flesh.
I agree! No offence meant, but it's so clear it's almost laughable to deny it.Don't matter how you spin it, the Gentiles are not included in Matthew 1:21. They were not Christ's people when that word was spoken. They are included in Luke 2:32 but they are distinguished from God's people.
"He will be a light that will reveal salvation to the Gentiles and bring glory to your people Israel."
It is plain that the Gentiles were at that point a non people. This proves that Matthew 1:21 cannot mean that Christ died for his people only. It's so clear. Why do you resist it?
“I will call those who were not my people, ‘My people,’ and I will call her who was unloved, ‘My beloved.’” Romans 9:25
You were once not one of God's people. You were once not loved by him. No tricky exegesis is going to change it. Bow down before him for changing his mind and accepting you.
Thats who Matt 1:21 refers to.“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
— John 3:16
That's the gospel of grace! ✝️ Amen!
You have the same problem, basing salvation on ethnicity.Don't matter how you spin it, the Gentiles are not included in Matthew 1:21. They were not Christ's people when that word was spoken. They are included in Luke 2:32 but they are distinguished from God's people.

The term "Israel" has extended meaning here, as so often explained already in the OT.Don't matter how you spin it, the Gentiles are not included in Matthew 1:21. They were not Christ's people when that word was spoken. They are included in Luke 2:32 but they are distinguished from God's people.

It's not so easy to understand the correct meaning of Isa 42:6. There are alternative translations. The His People in Matt 1:21
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
are the people in Isa 42:6
6 I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
And this particular people includes Gentiles !
I understand it, its difficult for you because you condition salvation on ethnicity. The Gentiles are within His Covenant Promises of Salvation for Israel His People. It's not so easy to understand the correct meaning of Isa 42:6. There are alternative translations.
Isaiah 42:6 - Here is My Servant
I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,biblehub.com
New International Version
“I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
New Living Translation
“I, the LORD, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations.
Berean Standard Bible
“I, the LORD, have called you for a righteous purpose, and I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and appoint you to be a covenant for the people and a light to the nations,
Well, it might be easy if you pick one verse of a translation you like, where you can use your agenda. I'm not pretending to be an expert on Isaiah, but I lean towards "the people" referring to the Israelites, i.e. the Jews.I understand it, its difficult for you because you condition salvation on ethnicity. The Gentiles are within His Covenant Promises of Salvation for Israel His People.
You still condition salvation from sin on the flesh, ethnicity, thats a denial of Salvation by Grace through Faith.Well, it might be easy if you pick one verse of a translation you like, where you can use your agenda. For my eyes have seen Your salvation,
Which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
A Light of revelation to the Gentiles,
And the glory of Your people Israel.”
— Luke 2:30-32
You see even if "the people" in Isa 42:6 refers to all peoples, still "His people" are the Jews.
Salvation by grace my friend means salvation is open for everyone, not depending on gender, nationality, race etc. that whoever confesses Christ as Lord will be saved. That is grace! For our God is an awesome God! ✝️You still condition salvation from sin on the flesh, ethnicity, thats a denial of Salvation by Grace through Faith.
You say Salvation in Matt 1:21 is restricted to the jewish nationality. Thats denies GraceSalvation by grace my friend means salvation is open for everyone, not depending on gender, nationality, race etc. that whoever confesses Christ as Lord will be saved. I never said salvation was restricted to the Jews. Matt 1:21 says Jesus came to save the Jews from their sins, not that salvation is or was restricted to Jews. You are reading in something I'm not saying. You say Salvation in Matt 1:21 is restricted to the jewish nationality. Thats denies Grace
Jesus says that those who believe the Gospel and are baptized will be saved in Mark 16:15-16 - he did not say that God will save whoever He predestined for such. You conflate believing the Gospel with trusting in the flesh - per scripture that is devilish as it contradicts Jesus! You still trusting in the flesh for salvation, dung salvation. His People in Matt 1:21 is the Church, the Body of Christ who He is the Head of, they are all One.
You said the promise made to save His People from their sins in Matt 1:21 is restricted to ethnc jews. Thats race salvation being promised according to youI never said salvation was restricted to the Jews. Matt 1:21 says Jesus came to save the Jews from their sins, not that salvation is or was restricted to Jews. You are reading in something I'm not saying.
