Mathematical accuracy of the Bible, why Genesis is more than a little believable!

Yeah, that's true...we got to go back, closer to the source.

We cannot, the oldest version of the OT we have is Septuagint and its already a translation.

And even if we would find 6000 years old Hebrew text, we would still have the same problem with ambiguity, because they were not advanced and so could not descripe advanced realities properly, only to compare it to something primitive they knew (a ladder, a dust, a tree, a serpent), for example.

We do not know what the ladder was, so how can we express it better now? We just have the ladder word and no other info.

If you would have just a "thunder bird" term, you could not make "a Russian space shuttle heading to ISS" from it, because these specifics are already lost. You would need to witness it again to describe it better.

That is very difficult to pull up on a phone. Just that little bit though, leads me to believe that it wasn't some material technology being spoken of, but a spiritual connection obtained through spiritual means.

One more thing though. Let's say Adam and Eve saw a modern day airplane flying over the garden, and they said "look, it's a bird!", In essence, they would be completely correct. The airplane is patterned after a bird...everything man makes is patterned after what he first saw in creation and what is made comes out of the ground, just like us. So, they would know how to accurately describe everything you've ever seen, because it would be compared to what is already in existence.

The movie is painfully slow-paced and is overwrought. I would have liked to be able to share it, but that's as far as I watched.

Yeah, but it still is a straight line within (99.)something percent accuracy. And he further qualifies it by saying that it would be 100%, "if the relationship was purely mathematical, namely, not based on empirical observations, we would have obtained a correlation of -1.0000!".

This video will test your godliness (your patience) but it is an astounding and not to be missed documentary of the truth of the words of the Bible.

It will literally blow your mind (for approx 1 hr)!

If the words of the Bible are that accurate, who can doubt God is behind something in this life - let alone being behind almost everything in this life?!

Why do you have to have the Bible mathematically accurate? It is preaching history, not a scientific or math textbook. Moses writes the true history of Genesis to combat the false gods of the nations that Israel will encounter in their travels and the promised land.

That's why he emphasizes the oneness of God with a plural word (Elohim). Start with the givens of the Bible and its principles and judge the scientific and mathematical discoveries and theories in the light of the Bible's (God's) ideas, not the other way around.

Given that the Bible says Pi is equal to 3, doesn't sound very accurate to me.
