We cannot, the oldest version of the OT we have is Septuagint and its already a translation.Yeah, that's true...we got to go back, closer to the source.
And even if we would find 6000 years old Hebrew text, we would still have the same problem with ambiguity, because they were not advanced and so could not descripe advanced realities properly, only to compare it to something primitive they knew (a ladder, a dust, a tree, a serpent), for example.
