CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's a lie to say none of us have ever done it.
It is also a lie to say that none of us don't feel guilty afterwards.
On the one hand, it may prevent temptation from actual fornication.
On the other it may subject one to weakness to lust.
It is, by all means, the lesser of two evils.
On the other hand, should the world be vaporized while your shorts are around your ankles, that's a fairly compromising position to be "caught red handed" in.

Masturbation is fine; in fact, it's quite healthy. It's benefits include easing menstrual cramps in girls, muscle relaxation, reducing stress, and helping to get rid of bacteria in that area. Also, the act of self-exploration is beneficial in helping you learn more about your body, and boosting your self-esteem. It helps to be comfortable with your body, because it ultimately leads to you being more comfortable with whomever you choose to be with in the future.

Sexual sin is the most grave of all sins, it controls ones mind and draws him away from God in the worst of ways. Much of the problems we face now as society collapses around our ears is this unpredecented sexuality that we have released upon ourselves. There is almost no going back from this. Our ancestors had nothing like what we have now, pornography, and ideas. Of course, all men are programmed to lust, and women too, so how do we reconcile the two? Most will admit that periods of time from when we do not 'release' ourselves lead to great frustration and deprivation of focus.

What about when a couple is apart and wants to have phone sex? And don't forget that many couples enjoy mutual masturbation.
Personally, I find it hard to just focus on sexual things when I'm masturbating. I find myself thinking about odd ball things half the time and I forget what I'm doing. I find it hard to focus without someone else there to keep my loins a-goin'.
