Since I don't believe that sex is anything to be ashamed of, no. I use masturbation more for a sleep aid than anything else. Goodness knows I'd be more than a little sexually frustrated without the practice, as I'm rarely allowed the privileged of have sex with my partner (LDR).

from my experience in life i would say it is attached to lust, but maybe i just lack self control. proceed carefully. masturbation is like an addiction that can go really bad. sure some people drink alcohol and never become an alcoholic, but people who never drink alcohol obviously never become an alcoholic. it's best not to start.

But you're masturbating with yourself, not with another person; so who are you really cheating on? I'll grant it might be selfish - while masturbating, perhaps one could be figuring our mathematical theorems or something. But it certainly doesn't make one less worthy of being another person's spouse, IMO.

I'll have to admit, that I've always found the 'I'm waiting for a virgin!' comments on here extreme, but suggesting one is unworthy of being a spouse for someone because they might've masturbated seems even crazier to me.

I think for even just health reasons men should sincerely consider masturbating. For women its a lot less crucial, but for men... your body could do with the release.

I mean we are all sinners, that is not an excuse
i am not saying "it is ok, i mean we all sin"
like the Eastern Orthodox have a nice saying "the Church is a hospital for sinners" we are Christian not because we are perfect, we are Christians because we know we are sinners and we need His help to save us

i am a catholic, my church says that it is always a sin, even if it is over a spouse

like sex is for sex, and touching yourself is kinda like sex without sex
like, um, i do not want to get too graphic, but if it is part of foreplay or afterplay, well that is differant, but like sex has got to be part of it
