CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The bible says noting about it. Besdes the whole 'lust' thing. People apparently lust pretty much all the time with or without maturbating anyway. And the word 'lust' itself is open to so much interpretation (is it purely sexual or does it have another meaning?) I don't thinks it's a solid case. I believe if it was considered a sin it would have been specifically mentioned because even in biblical times people masturbated. It's just one of those things that people get freaked out about because it involves sexual pleasure and that is a NO NO unless your married in the eyes of god. NO PLEASURE FOR YOU!

hehe, I remember when I was 15, my aunt Linda (who is a Jehovah's Witness) gave me a bunch of books about her religion. I didn't care very much, because I was pretty much an athiest at the time. But, I read them because I was curious. There was a LOT of info on masturbation. I always will remember the first thing it said:
"No where in the Bible is masturbation mentioned, but that does not mean that it is not a sin."
I always found that amusing.

Also, yeah, sure the Bible itself doesn't say the direct word, but let's think logically for a moment - Where's somewhere you could go to get answers (well, actually, lies, but you'll get my logic in a moment). The SATANIC Bible ENCOURAGES it! Okay, now this is where logic should kick in... if the Satanic religion is encouraged to do it, then....... Should we, as Christians?

If a male is not engaging in sexual activity normally and does not touch ... then he will have what is called 'wet dreams'. Sperm only lives for a definite amount of time and then the body needs to purge it.
