CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Look, masturbating is not a sin. Lusting after a woman in your heart is (if she is not your wife). If you want to make masturbating an evil thing, do it to porn, or with the image of a particular female in your mind. The act of releasing sexual pressure, however, is not itself evil any more than releasing the pressure of your bladder is an evil thing. In fact, masturbating is an effective way to keep yourself under control sexually. You'll not find a single verse in all of the Bible that states that masturbating is sinful. Not one. But you will find many verses that command you to keep your thoughts sexually pure and holy. It is possible to relieve pressure without having your mind filled with dirty thoughts. If you keep your thoughts sexually pure when you touch, you've got nothing to stress over.

Amen. I as a female struggle with masturbation too! I have to keep my mind clear about it, though which is my biggest struggle right now.
