A sin is a sin all the same no sin is greater no sin is less than they are all sins and the same to God.I believe it is sin because your thinking about fornicating with other people which is sin biblically. A friend once asked me, are you thinking about your future wife when you do it or something else? Yes I think it's better than fornicating which some people may disagree, which is what I have resOrted to, but it still is sin.
No, that's still a sin. Sex or masturbating done outside of marriage is a sin.
Can I have a clear Bible reference for your assertment there?
All i will say is this- "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart"-Matthew 5:28
A sin is a sin all the same no sin is greater no sin is less than they are all sins and the same to God.
Im not either way about it,im not too sure?
I believe spiritually the risks are the same.I understand, but you honestly think that having a chain of sexual partners, with a multitude of risks and consequences that comes with, is the same as MB by yourself?
Right. That isn't talking about this subject, however. Read what it says: If you desire to have sex with someone else's wife (or if you yourself are married) you are already sinning.
So don't do that. Nowhere in that verse does it say the act is wrong, but rather, the intent to have sex with another's spouse other than your own.
I guess the fruit of the spirit inregards to self control just sort of goes out the window in this subject, I usually find people who are for touching yourself, are ones who have struggled endlessly and lost, then giving into the temptation and sin and simply believing that it is also uncontrolable for everyman, completely believing that everyman is bound by this sin as they are. This is too, why homosexuals who are bound by their sexual sin, have fought and never reached victory because they gave up! they didn't overcome.......how many times does Jesus say to those who "OVERCOME" I would suggest you not give in, and more importantly cause little ones to sin, who may read your post, as it has great consequences. There is a way to overcome this sin but it requires you to die to yourself, rebuking sinful thoughts and desires. and having the mindset to get back up after a failure and return to the fight. surrendering is not an option......why? because if you are living in a sexual sin as if it were not a sin. remember the clearly spoken words of the disciple Paul "these will not inherit the kingdom of God" be not deceived......I think if you are in the battle against these sins Gods grace and mercy may cover you but true Christianity teaches against these practices and being one who was bound worse than anyman I have yet met, they can be completely overcome in victory by the power of Jesus. but you must be willing to fight to the death, anything less and those demonic tormenters know your breaking point and willingness to give in. decide in your heart death is your breaking point. which is why the apostle Paul says many times that you must die to the fleshNo, it is not. If it were it would be explicitly outlawed by the Bible. Instead the Bible bans only lustful thoughts and actions. Even for women, masturbation can occur without such thoughts, as a purely physical release. Men need this regularly for physical reasons; women can also become physically "pent up," especially if they are leaving behind premarital sex or if they are engaged and anticipating marital sex in the near future.
but it becomes lust and temptation..the feels you get are designed for husband and wife ..and in order to do such things you have to lust or something along those lines ..am I right?
I would say that masturbation is having sex with yourself. God says the wife's body is for her husband and the husband's body is for the wife. So imo, I feel like it's wrong.
Furthermore, if we walk by the Spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh so as we saturate our thought life with Jesus, His presence always being at the forefront of our minds His Hoy Spirit will give us the strength to abstain from these things even if we are single. God's word tells us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him which is our reasonable service for what Jesus has done for us at the cross.

Who says it's a sin? God doesn't. Unless you have a personal revelation, and in that case, it may be sin for YOU but cannot be applied to anyone but to whom it is given.

Not quite the same thing, bro.
they didn't overcome.......how many times does Jesus say to those who "OVERCOME" I would suggest you not give in,
You think Jesus was talking about "mastabation" in those verses? Most scholars appear to disagree there.
and more importantly cause little ones to sin, who may read your post, as it has great consequences. There is a way to overcome this sin but it requires you to die to yourself, rebuking sinful thoughts and desires.
Where does the bible state this is a sin again? It clearly outlines murder, theft, idol worship, black magic, blasphemy, adultery and breaking any law basically laid out in the OT. But nowhere in the book does it address this "very important" topic. I find that strange...
and having the mindset to get back up after a failure and return to the fight. surrendering is not an option......why? because if you are living in a sexual sin as if it were not a sin. remember the clearly spoken words of the disciple Paul "these will not inherit the kingdom of God" be not deceived......I think if you are in the battle against these sins Gods grace and mercy may cover you but true Christianity teaches against these practices and being one who was bound worse than anyman I have yet met,
So says the married man. The problem is, the Bible doesn't actually say anything about this specific issue.
they can be completely overcome in victory by the power of Jesus.
People can choose not to eat too, by the power of Jesus, but eventually, it will lead to their death.
but you must be willing to fight to the death, anything less and those demonic tormenters know your breaking point and willingness to give in.
So, our God-given sex drives are demons now? Huh.
decide in your heart death is your breaking point. which is why the apostle Paul says many times that you must die to the flesh
Well "sex" would be intercourse, so if unless you are hermaphroditic by nature, it is impossible to have sex with yourself.
Those verses are true. One problem. They don't address single people.
Why are we to abstain...? There is nothing wrong with it. Religion conditions people to feel badly about themselves and their bodies, so this is our reason? I don't think so. If you think the God who fashioned, or rather, spoke, this entire universe into existence 13.73 billion years ago truly gives a hoot about you pleasuring yourself, then I don't know what to tell you. I personally think He is more concerned with how you treat others and your spiritual walk with Him, than if you decide to do that every once and awhile.
What does that last quote have to do with anything? Why do people see the need to pull out random quotes from the bible to attempt to prove their point? Anyone can do that.
Think about this idea about this Scripture reference.
Matthew 5:27-30
You have heard that the law of Moses says, Do not commit adultery. But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart, So if your eye, even if it is your good eye, causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your hand, even if it is your stronger hand cause you to sin , cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Even though Jesus did not actually use the word masturbation here, could the reference to the hand mean masturbation in that it comes right after Jesus references the eye causing one to lust because obviously it would take the hand to actually reach the fulfillment of the intended sinful act.
Why is is when you say...."You really think that is what he meant here" all I hear is the serpent in the garden saying "did God really say you should not eat of every tree of the garden?" "You will not surely die"............and thats what your saying.......you are bound by sin and want others to condone the sin that you see as impossible to stop. You don't even see it as a sin, because you have a severed conscience, and no spiritual descernment between good and evil........scripture clearly shows any form of sex outside of marriage is wrong, I don't know how you figure its not sex, only because your alone, I guess you could have sex with a blow up doll since its not human, it doesn't qualify as sex.........your grasping at straws in hopes something will make your sin OKIf that's how you want to take it...
You really think that is what He meant there?
He also says to cut off your foot if it causes you to stumble elsewhere.
If that's how you want to take it...
