Who's crying? It's just a fact. They are literally having campaigns against whiteness. How is that not racism or oppression against the common working man?

The only thing events shows us like this is that life is short and because it is short we should be trying to return our hearts and souls to God and seeking him. Besides, the bible says we are all destined to die and people die everyday, get over it please :-/

We cannot ignore the horror and waste and injustice of any senseless death committed by the hand of others and certainly these mass shooting magnify that to extremes.

But accusing the President of racism and white supremacy, neither of which he has ever condoned or demonstrated, is illustrative of the actual problem. We have become a culture of intellectually dishonest hateful judgmentalism, accusations, demonization, bullying, tearing people down because they belong to the wrong party and/or don't believe what we believe.

We as Christians should:

--denounce and condemn white supremacy, black supremacy, Hispanic supremacy, and all who would presume to judge others for who and what they are as well as those who denigate and/or encourage violence against other people or groups of people.

--denounce and condemn all forms of bullying and malicious gossip, libel, and slander that is prevalent against the President no matter who he is, against members of Congress, against political parties, groups, people, most especially those who hold 'politically incorrect' opinions. Such bullying, malicious gossip, libel, slander is pretty much non stop these days on television, on social media, on message boards, etc. The worst offenders accuse others while not seeing how destructive their own words and actions are. And that almost certainly is a factor and provocation for those with a propensity for violence to act it out.

--fight against the suppression of and promote and encourage religious faith, most especially JudeoChristian faith, which has proven to be a calming and beneficial factor in those communities and neighborhoods where it is a prominant factor.

--denounce the increasingly violent and graphic gratuitous sex, violence, and other immorality in the movies, on television, in video games. These are unhealthy for anybody and can be dangerous to the unstable mind.

--denounce the assault on the American traditional family and the trend to emasculate men and/or making fathers unimportant or unnecessary. Yes, single parents can do a great job of raising kids and sometimes they have to do that, but a responsible mother and father in the home is far better for raising kids. And communities with traditional two parent families the rule instead of the exception are pretty much invariably safer, more constructive, more prosperous than those who don't have that.

One of the most significant statistics in men who become vicious dictators and among the young men who are mass shooters is that a largely disproportionate number of them grew up without frequent influence from their biological fathers. I don't think that is a statistic we should ignore.

What are the proportions to male to female gun carriers? Male to female? Ages? Social class? Employment? How many people are armed in supermarkets.

In the supermarkets what were the ages? Male, female, children?

We don't carry guns in my country but I bet you are over estimating the number of armed people. I would guess more men carry firearms but more women do food shopping. I guess that children don't carry guns and that there were children there too.

Guns don't breed, carry disease, or act on their own unlike rats. Now if you were saying we need less people--that would be a comparable analogy

The 2nd Ammendment is a strong argument though.

Over the weekend, the City of Chicago had a record 55 shootings with 7 fatalities.
At least 7 killed, 48 wounded in Chicago’s most violent weekend this year, West Side bears brunt of the violence

Now I know some people say it is a gun issue, but it is not. It is a mental health issue. I could pick apart the mental problems of the nation as a whole, but change has to come from within. Each and every individual need to make an effort to be the positive light and take responsibility for positive change.

Throughout my entire life, I have never owned a gun and neither has anyone I have known or met.

I am utterly perplexed as to why people would chose to have one.

Well, If we required liability insurance for every gun, then anytime somebody gets killed by one, their family gets $1,000,000 from Geico.

Why not do that?

One good guy with a gun who was there (that has come forward so far) elected to grab as many scared kids as he could and get them to safety instead of pulling his gun to stop the bad guy.

Neil said it best. Facts and stats are something people full of hate...well hate. This doesn't mean mass shootings aren't a big deal obviously. It just means far worse is always going on in the world. In the past two days I have seen videos coming from others countries. In one they were hacking at a man for stealing a chicken. In another they set a family on fire for being "witches". In another a man went around stabbing women in the chest at a park. This stuff happens all the time and we don't really seem to care.

Though to be fair even in our own backyard we also turn a blind eye. So many people are killed/nearly killed (or shot) in cities like Chicago and Detroit, but again we don't really seem to care.

I think we Americans tend to have a blind eye to things until it happens in our back yard.

Right, you don't see people losing over the thousands of babies killed every day but when something like the shooting happens people fall apart.
