Wow, some really seasoned vets at this marriage business.
I also acquired chickens BUT i think the rooster is no more, and i dont know if having a rooster around causes hens to lay eggs or what [whadda want, i am a city girl] anyway - the hens havent been laying eggs that i know of...
SOmehow i have to figure out how to put together a decent coop - and pen it in, these critters go everywhere and we got cats that might find them to be tender vittles. And a dog. Not sure he would do anything to them, but i dont know.
So far the biggest challenge has been feeding the newts my daughter found.
I need more meal worms. It was cool when i bot rice at the store and i got free meal worms and used the rice for chicken feed.
Normally i would have been grossed out.
