I am wondering if any of you might be able to recommend a short, easy to read, marriage devotional type of book from an Orthodox perspective.
My wife interrupted my reading today and said that she would like us to read one together. It has been my experience with "Devotional" type books that they tend toward platitudes and pop-Christian type things. She comes from an evangelical Pentecostal background.
Now my wife is one of the smartest people I know. I've seen her make impressive life and death decisions on the fly and she can run circles around some doctors I know as a nurse. But she is a terrible reader due to dyslexia. I've seen her wrestle for hours over the years on countless topics because of it. I'd like something that will benefit us both but not discourage her from going deeper down the road.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
