Yes, because everyone that listens to Manson's music is gullible and naïve enough to accept everything the music they listen to talks about. Give me a break. *rolleyes*

I agree with you withgreatmercy. I see manson (brian warner is his name) as nothing more than a shrewd businessman and people like that don't belong in music. I've listened to a lot of negative music in my life (i grew up on punk rock) but he takes it to a new level. I also shy away from bands that belong to the church of satan.

lol, and speaking as a long-time gothic music enthusiast and musician I hate what he's helped do to our scene.. so many people run around wearing the black baggy pants listening to dark metal and say they are goth, they don't know what goth is though. they just saw manson's video that had 'ain't nothin but a goth thing' and assumed manson was talking about himself and his music, and decided to imitate. manson disliked goths (i have a freind that went to high school with brian warner) and i think he purposefully set out to ruin our scene.

but they don't know what gothic music is, most of them don't like gothic music when its played for them either, they say it isn't heavy enough or something.

but yeah.. manson . bleah. I can do without that garbage.

Manson's pretty awesome in my book. I have all of his(I should say they're since he's not the only one in the band) CD's except for live and greatest hits and all that, and I enjoy them quite a bit.

Why? He calls himself antichrist...

Brian Warner is an extremely bright guy who has become quite caught up in himself. His cousin dennis, and I have been friends for a number of years. He and others say that Brian was pretty cool until he started believing the hype.I've met him in his "offstage" life and he appears quite normal, so much so that if you didn't know who it was, you'd likely never guess it.
Musically I'm not that impressed with the bands stuff, though I do admit to enjoying "Beautiful People"

I think people are overreacting, and not because of his message, but because of his popularity. If people were really after the message that music enhances, then they would chase after the next Rotting Christ album or the latest Nunslaughter, in whose shadow MM seems ridiculously well behaved. If you are really against MM for his message, then start worrying about a rough 10,000 (that's a pretty accurate estimation I assure you) other bands, and forget about poor Marilyn.

yes we all kno mansion is abit of a fruit loop, and claims to be the anti christ blah blah....but he does the goth image very well, and unfortunately (this would shame my bf lol) i do like some of his songs. they are catchy..SOME of them. Not a huge fan, but wouldnt diss him either. let him make music.
