  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was just told about a Tinker Bell half marathon in my area by someone (I just missed this year's) and if you know me, you recognize that this is something that I will just have to participate in the next time. However, I am apparently very bad about finding information about this event at all. Does anyone here know where I could find a good, comprehensive list of marathons or information on Disney sponsored marathons at least?

If you know someone who knows this stuff, please point me their way or vice versa.

Thanks. It had nothing about the one I was looking for, but thanks for the effort

The lady told me to look at disneyrun.com or something like that, but with the busy day after she told me, I forgot and that particular website is blocked at work:mad:

Anyway, I was hoping that someone who was really into this stuff would be able to help. Again, thanks for trying  Those pages do list lots of stuff.

You are awesome. I will be watching for registration to begin and I'll have to see if I can get to Disneyland for this. The kids will be thrilled if I get them into the park too for all that stuff.

It's not exactly what I was looking for, but we've been wanting to take the kids to Disneyland anyway, so this might make a good combo weekend.

Ok. Next question. How would anyone recommend starting to train for a marathon, or a half-marathon as the situation calls for? Do you just start running as far as you can or are there other exercises that helps one get ready for it?

Here is some good info for training. You can google "training for a half marathon" or marathon and you will get some really good plans.
I've never run a half or a whole marathon but I did do the couch to 5K program and it worked really well. Remember that resting your body is very important. You should not be running everyday.
