There you have it folks!
Bethswhite's understanding of eschatology is superior to the men who walked and talked with Jesus.
2Pe 3:8 does not mean that every time a day is mentioned a thousand years is inferred. Therein lies your false interpretation.
Hosea 6's "day" means 1000 years.
No, it doesn't. Day means Day. Your false interpretation of this is causing you to build an entirely false doctrine built on sand.
We'll find out this Spring or next Spring.
Jesus appears in the Spring for the church and seals 144,000 of Israel, comes on the clouds in the Fall.
We'll find out this Spring or next Spring.
Well there you go folks she's nailed it down to this Spring or next. I guess we will find out soon if this is a false prophecy.

His presence is "on the 3rd day".
Hosea 6:“Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.
3 Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Beth, that is terrible interpretation of Hosea!
First...the setting of Hosea 1:1 tells you a whole lot about what's going on at the time of his prophecy:
The word of the Lord which came to Hosea the son of Beeri, during the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
The Lord is about to prophecy the captivity of Judah and Israel. Hosea will be God's mouthpiece. If you simply follow what Hosea says you can clearly see that this is the restoration of Judah and Israel to the land before the coming of Christ.
Do you not realize Hosea 6 speaks to the captivity of Israel by Assyria and the captivity of Judah by Babylon? It even tells you as much at Hosea 6:5:
5 Therefore I have hewn them in pieces by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; And the judgments on you are like the light that goes forth.
Those "judgments" are their captivity Beth. God is speaking of Israel and Judah there. He then speaks of restoring them to the land in chapter 7.
I think you're forcing an interpretation onto Hosea 6:1-3, it's not what you're saying. It's definitely the coming of Christ...but it's His coming as their Messiah with the gospel...that is your "spring rain".
Why would the idea of the coming of the Lord be any scarier than the knowledge that we're going to die? Or maybe that's the trick, date setters can't face the certainty that they're going to die, and that dying is all too often a messy and painful process, so they know that the Lord is gonna return and spare them the disgusting necessity of assuming room temperature. How many of y'all have I heard say some variation on "I rejoice that I will live to see our Savior return." because they can't cope with the idea that they'll meet the Lord not through a deus ex machina departure from this vale of tears, but as a result of a car wreck or a cancer or a heart attack, or similarly icky departure.Is the return of the Lord so scary for you because of the way you are leading your life?
Imaginary Eschatology, to be precise. As what doesn't occur on 22 March will illustrate quite nicely.Gee, this is an ESCHATOLOGY forum and we're discussing ESCHATOLOGY!
But if you're to he consistent, where the Bible says "1000 years", then it Really Means one day, right? Unless you're only observing the bit of that Scripture that suits you.And therein lies your inability to discern when the word "day" means 24 hours or the word "day" means 1000 years.
Sure. After all, we have your word for it.Hosea 6's "day" means 1000 years.

Several people here are banking on Mar 22. Be careful, people. It has been tried so many times for so many 'biblical-logical' reasons and caused so many tumbles. WHere is the masters command to know, find and compute an exact day?

Early LAST March, there were crazies making prediction about a mega-quake.
Didn't happen.
Skull and bones prophecy for March 22, 2012: Didn't happen.
I saw that earlier today. Obviously another sign to "look up" for our redemption draws nigh. And I guess it's just a coincidence that this one is coming on a Sabbath too? No it's not.
Come Lord Jesus
