Genesis 5:
1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.
2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image,
and named him Seth.
What image will we bare in our resurrected bodies? The Father or the Son?
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be,
but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
Here is what John later saw and testified to from Patmos.
Revelation 1:
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lamp stands,
13 and in the midst of the seven lamp stands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet
and girded about the chest with a golden band.
14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters;
16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,
and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
We will bear the image of the Son in His Glory
Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son,
that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
John 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son,
who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
