It wasn't the only thing I wanted to discuss. Apparently you did not read my post.

Which post delineates exactly what is allowed to be discussed? I am afraid my mind reading skills are a bit rusty.

Sorry if you don't like being told what to discuss in my thread. You are free to start your own thread

Really, I won't mind.

Tell me about Earl's gun irresponsibility and I'm gone.

If you mean to discuss gun irresponsibility exclusively then your title is not only misleading but you are attempting to politicize an accident. I would immediately exit your misleading and politicized thread but find I must stay to find out about Earl Anthony's gun irresponsibility as my curiosity about the man, whom I never would have dreamed to be an irresponsible gun owner, has been piqued.

Do you have anything relevant to the discussion worthy of posting, or will your continued rants pertain only about me?

How can I know? I thought that my first post was forbidden because only gun irresponsibility was allowed but then you told me other things were allowed too just not the thing I mentioned but what if what I think is relavent now, as my first post that you objected to still seems to be to me, turns out to be forbidden by the censor? I'm starting to think that Earl Anthony may not have been an irresponsible gun owner after all.

After reading the OP article, if you don't know what is dumb about bowling with a gun in your pocket, I cannot help you.
Because you can't support your argument, thanks. . . . that is all we needed for you to admit.

And yes, if you must know I am an illegal democrat with a free Obama phone and 10 credit cards maxed out, and the government is helping me with the payments. (I figured I would just throw it out so you don't have to assume stupid things about me)
What made you think anything I had to say involved you? Oh well, your confessions were as good for your movement as the guy in the OP was for mine. So, um, thanks.

Wait, a man using equipment in a way not intended by the manufacturer and not advised by people who use similar equipment responsibly had an accident & when we look at facts, it doesn't advance gun control even though he (the guy) fits the meme to the nearest possible factor? Well golly, lets push this thread off the first page, cause like the rest of the gun threads recently it fails to support the party objectives.

I guess you have no problems bowling with a gun in your pocket. Go ahead and try it! I hope it is everything you imagine, just try not to shoot the boy on lane 8

I do almost everything with a kahr pm9 in my pocket. I jog with my dogs, kettlebells, play with my nephews/nieces, go shopping, play mini-golf, shoot archery, all with a pistol in my pocket. I have yet to discharge a pistol in any of those scenarios.

Please tell me what dangers I am subject to.

Let's see.....

Ticks and fleas
broken toes
getting injured by them
dented cars in the parking lot
hit in the head with the ball
hitting your wrist with the bowstring
and possibly shooting yourself and others.

I know some folks feel its a scary world out there, but how about you tell us what dangers you are subject to to never leave home without it.

And I'm glad you don't shower with it. Might get rusted.

Don't know don't care. This has nothing to do with the discussion.

I beg to differ. I also believe that you know where I'm going with this which is why you won't answer.

I don't carry a weapon because I expect trouble (a danger in the spirit of this conversation). I certainly have no wish to engage anybody with a weapon if it is within reason that I can address or escape a danger without doing so.

I carry a weapon because I don't know what is going to happen and believe that my personal safety is incumbent upon me.

Of course, if I expected trouble I would take precautions to mitigate the risk or simply avoid the environment. However, sometimes trouble finds you.

Essentially, I carry a weapon for the same reason I wear a seatbelt.

Now you are telling me what I think? You don't have the first clue. Who do you think you are, some kind of mind reader?

In other words, you are afraid. I bet the stupid bowler was also afraid.

Yes, I too don't expect trouble when out in the world. I too have no wish to engage anybody either, and I too will give myself an out and do not go looking for conflict. I too wear a seatbelt. Seems the only difference is I don't carry. Never have felt the need.

A quick question.

Had you been in that cinema where all those people were shot would you have taken your gun out and fired?
How many would have been killed if 10 others had pulled out their guns and started firing in the dark?
each one of them thinking they were justified because they or theirs were in danger.
