Have any among us here made friends or a friendship on CF? I mean a real friendship that crossed over into outside of CF and say like may be the supermarket, Church or something like that? I am asking out of curiosity. I am aware thatvCF is not a dating site and I am not trying to do any of the sort. I am asking out of curiosity because a friend I met on CF when I first joined... we were part of the same group posting stuff and all met someone I guess from the same group and they got married. It has been a while and I am out of touch with her. In fact out of touch with the whole group due to being irregular on the forum after a few years. So I just wanted to hear if there were any such wonderful testimonies.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The mention of travelling sounds real nice. I wish that I wasn't such a home body. I hope that you get your chance I guess the closest that I could get to meeting any one from CF would be through skype.

I don't know of anyone who has met in person. There have been two that I talked with outside of CF, but just on the phone or facebook. I've never met anyone from CF in person.

At least you have even spoken to two from CF on the phone. That sounds like you at least were getting to know them.
For some funny reason I am always comfortable to chat with people here. I get the impression that it would be possible to actually meet and chat and not be disappointed. Of course depending on who one seems to enjoy chatting with on the forum.
I know that in my earlier days in the main singles forum some actually met and posted photos of meeting.
