  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm surprised by how much makeup costs. I went to Ulta with my girl and she spent a small fortune on makeup. I don't know why that stuff in the bottle they put all over their face is that pricy. She got some eye shadow pack with a bunch of colors, it was about $55.
She got the Naked palette didn't she? :D

Men really don't know how expensive it is to be a woman. I had to dial it back because I added up how much I was spending on all my products and it totaled over $400.

Also what kind of blush do you girls use? Do you use anything more than blush (like contouring, bronze, etc)?

Do you like powders or cream?
I love Nars blush, but I can't say the shade name because it's slightly inappropriate. Lol

I've tried cream blush, but much prefer powder as my skin is extremely oily and and cream doesn't last a split second.

Edit: This is the shade I use.

I only wear makeup for special occations. So I haven't spent any money on it.
I bought some nail polish for $6 a few years ago though.
I've noticed skin care products are all around $16 per bottle which is expensive I think, but oh well. ^_^
But lotions, and such like that don't really count as makeup.
I do like mascara though... I actually might have bought some before.
Any makeup I bought as a kid doesnt count. :p
For those of you who wear makeup every day do you wear everything or just a few things? (For example I'm not generally comfortable with skin makeup but I like mascara and lip color.)

I have a blush color that is raved about as being universally flattering, and yet on my skin it sort of makes me look like Ronald McDonald's daughter. The color is called [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] (haha) and it's by NARS. It's a joyful peachy-pink that really does look beautiful on almost everyone else.
Ah, yeah, I've heard a lot of people mention that. Haven't tried it myself yet.

If I'm just running errands or something, I do BB cream, a bit of powder concealer, blush, and lip gloss. In those cases, I'm really only trying to hide the red blotchiness and make myself look awake. ^_^

I honestly rarely wear blush. I just usually use a lip gloss or lipstick, and some eyeshadow IF I even wear makeup at all. :sorry:

I like makeup in theory. I like to see other women wearing it, haha. I like watching tutorials and all the creativity that comes out of it, but honestly I just can't be bothered :\ Maybeeee if I worked, or maybe had like a really millennial related job where it was alright to experiment with your makeup and not get shamed for it, I would do it more.

Wow. You girls know makeup. Yes, she got that palette. Just 1 cost that much. She's got 3 or 4 of them. Like I told her, if she really wants a naked look on her eyes she can save her money and just let not put anything on them, so they'll be naked. She bought it anyways, lol.

I can't even imagine spending $400 on products. I use a 3-in-1 soap, shampoo, conditioner. It costs about $3, and works just great. The only real money I spend is on quality razors and aftershave.

I don't know why we do it to ourselves, but yeah, we have to look good and all. ^_^

Some men wear makeup too. More than one would think. But again I'm not one of them. For slightly different reasons.

I've been told by several different women when the issue about guys wearing makeup comes up that men would look better with a little bit of makeup (not talking about drag or anything, but done correctly to accent their features and stuff).
