Global study shows majority of 18-34 year olds support using violence and disinformation to drive change
The 2025 Edelman Trust Barometer signals a shift from fear to grievance.
"
- According to the latest Edelman Trust Barometer, people have moved beyond polarization to “aggressive advocacy for self-interest.”
The annual global survey of more than 32,000 people in 28 countries found respondents have moved beyond polarization to what it describes as “aggressive advocacy for self-interest,” a finding reinforced by the fact that many voted for populist candidates in elections this past year."

For Christians, I would say that Gen Z doesn't know where to go to get
accurate information.
I would assert that Gen Z is faced will all sorts of challenges, that are coming
to a head, after decades of disintegration (in multiple areas).
I would assert that the perceived frustration of Gen Z, also involves a sense
of entitlement, and a sense of undefined (or unjustified) persecution, or is
the result of grinding poverty that politicians and the governments and the
leaders of industry don't seem to care about.
I would point out that the younger generations have almost all rejected logic,
and the foundations of democracy, while still using the rhetoric of freedom and
democracy. THIS, cannot end well. Showing up in a group demonstration of violence,
in order to bring about "justice", is the establishment of lawlessness.
And, politicians who appeal to Gen Z, with the surface language of "change" and
"making everything wonderful", are often the very ones who simply want power and
money, and don't care who gets trampled in the quest of billionaires.
So far, it seems that the billionaires are doing a better job of manipulating Gen Z,
that Gen Z is doing in articulating the basic definitions of a free and fair society.
