I heard we were supposed to get rain wednesday night, and most of this new snow(which by the way, was way to much for one night) will be gone. I don't like the cold much, but I do like snow this close to Christmas. It just feels right for some reason.

As soon as Christmas is over though, the snow can go away. The northern part of the state can keep it.

hey all!
im new to the forum and saw this, and had to give a hollar to all my fellow MAINEiacs Im from Eddington and have lived in Maine all my life. Im am currently getting ready to leave for California next fall to go to Bible College. It will be a big change but praise Him, i will go where He sends me. See you all around.

Sorry, I can't really comment, That perscription drug thing sounds pretty good for alot of people without coverage already.

WesleyJohn your in the rough. a few years ago we tried to self-insure, the costs were very prohibitive..Good Luck.
I work with some people who are self employed as their primany job and work with me at the supermarket part-time just for the insurance. they say it saves them in the hundreds monthly.

I think the standard would be 35 to 36 hours. As a Pastor you probably only work 100 or so hours a week now so whats another 36....HA.
Many retailers offer two part-time options, work at a higher hourly rate w/o insurance or at a lower hourly rate with insurance.

I'm not in the Rumford area, but I felt pretty bad about the historical building that burnt down in Bangor.

Although after the water froze on the building it looked like an ice castle. Kinda cool looking.

Gov Baldacci's speech I thought was pretty good last night. Elimination of the business assets tax is smart. School consolidations will save money and the laptop program expansion well I'm not sold on that yet.
