Oh honey, I am SO ready for snow!! Love it love it love it!!! But where is it?!?! I was born and raised here and love this state, but man the seasons sure have been off for a number of years!! It was spitting snow here in Augusta early Sunday morning, before dawn. I woke my hubby up like I do every year when I first see it snowing, and he had the nerve to tell me it wasn't snowing! Uggggghhh!! MEN! heheh ^_^

Wow, we're not to far from eachother. I'm about 8 miles out of Newport. Our weather must be quite similar then. It snowed a lot on Saturday, during the day for about 20 minutes then late at night for about an hour. They were HUGE flakes and the wind was blowing like crazy!

I like snow, it's just cold!

One thing I've found here is a lack of shopping options. :( Since we've no vehicle, we do a lot of walking, and I've really come to appreciate having stores close to where one lives. Western Avenue has the most options for us. :)

Yes, I know of that radio station. In fact, the cleaning company where I am Office Manager cleans their offices.

I go to church at Notre Dame de Lourdes in Springvale, and yes, we will be there. I've been in Maine all my life and have never seen or even heard of a Catholic mass being cancelled because of the weather.

Do any of you ever listen to WMSJ (Joy 89.3)? Have you ever seen their Christian Music Video program that runs on many local access cable TV stations throughout the state?

How about church tomorrow...is your's going to be cancelled? or will you all get together for worship despite the 12 inches of snow we're getting tonight?

Peace,

WJ
I love WMSJ. But I can't watch the videos cause i have satellite which doesn't receive local stations :( . Sometimes I listen to 95.3 as well. But only when it isn't the really slow southern gospel music. That just gets on my nerves.
I'm not sure about church though cause I know that they don't like to cancel unless they have warned the congregation ahead of time to call first. And unfortunately the yearly message had not been put in the bulletin. I'm not going out in this anywho. My car was spinning before there was even 2 inches on the ground.

where are yall from in Maine? I ask cuz I think I'm going to move there in a year or so - probably Portland. What do you guys think about ME? Pleased with it? What are some cool places there, cool stuff, etc.

Oh yeah - since a big motivator for moving there is the prospect of cheap seafood, am I right in thinking that it's the land of milk and honey for seafood junkies?
