CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I haven't been into football in a big way since the Giants (with Coach Parcells) took the Super Bowl back in 1987. I think it was SB 17 or 18? I do like watching the game for the commercials. 
I get a chuckle out of most of them. I think I heard the cost for a 30-second ad spot during the SB was $2.36 million? Ouch!! 
I've found that if I'm really into a team I'll cheer, yell, stamp my feet, clap, etc. and it's not very pleasant for the neighbors. Not to mention some of the names I call the umpires and their bad calls.

I am just outside of Portland.
And spring has re-arrived finally. I might even be able to hang laundry out by early next week. wooooohoooooo.
According to the weather guy we need rain, but looking out at the mud in my front yard and driveway......I think we are plenty wet.

I live in Calais. It was really warm and I thought winter was over. Anyways, I wake up this morning and theres snow all over the ground!!!!! I about screamed! LOL. It was crazy. so now its been snowing all day. got about 4 or 5 inches outside. It stinks lol. Any of you get hit by the storm?
