You would have to show that:
1. Thousand of ballot applications are being sent to people who aren't alive
That's already happened and been acknowledged.
2. A significant number of people are submitting the application for the dead person.
How many count as "significant" to you? We have had elections for Congress decided by as few as single digits and it's not rare to have elections decided by several hundred out of millions of total votes cast.
3. A significant number of those applications result in actual ballots being mailed.
The same.
4. A significant number of those ballots actually get filled out and submitted.
The same.
5. And as good measure - that such fraud happens to one party/candidate/issue more than another, otherwise such fraud is just a wash.
That's just silly.

Seems like there ought to be a way....but of course, always a risk. I see your point about a paper trail. All we need is for China or Russia to hack in. Though they might cancel each other out.

I agree. And any reasonable person should acknowledge that when it comes to something as important as an election, we ought to take at least modest steps to guard the integrity of the voting process, not make it as easy as possible for people to engage in vote fraud.

In this country, you cannot even get your car out of impound if the authorities towed it unless you show the registration...but we're being told by people now that completely unknown parties should be given every opportunity to cast multiple or fraudulent ballots in elections. It's not even worth debating.

Thank you for your post.

I'm wondering if "Critics of Trump White House" aren't actually decrying an existence for a Postal Service at all. At least so far as so-called "mail-in" balloting is concerned.

It would make it so much easier, don't you know, if the Secretary of State simply mailed an absentee ballot to every resident of the state and then decided what the preferred election results should be.

Counting votes received after election day, sending absentee ballot applications to people who didn't request them, and sending applications to non-citizens haven't so far seemed to satisfy some of the election officials, therefore for them to also be carping about an attempt to make the USPS more efficient seems almost superfluous.

Utah uses vote by mail exclusively. It's a Republican state. So why do you insist this issue is partisan in favor of Democrats? It's not actually the mail-in portion that's the real issue. President Trump spoke the truth-make voting easy, and more people will vote. It's that alone that scares republicans, because more people in the US are Democrat than Republican.

Who is telling us that?

You mean like the repeated Democratic attempts to protect voting integrity that the Republicans keep voting down?

Because personal finances are not the same as voting. In the case of fraud in taxes or mistakes, records are kept that allow me to go back and potentially fix the mistakes. If the IRS thinks I messed up or I don't receive the funds that I expected to get, there is some sort of recourse. You can't do that with online voting. It's waaaaaay too easy to exploit for mass voter fraud and no way of you knowing it happened. Granted, there's a certain level of trust with in person voting, but a good system should have a paper trail for validation. You can't get that with online voting.

IMO, you should not trust a voting system that does not leave a physical paper trail. I'm generally OK with electronic systems that are used but produce a paper ballot, and you can then spot check the results; i.e. if a sample of paper votes differ significantly from the electronic votes in a given place, then you can do a count of physical ballots.

From https://xkcd.com/2030/
(mouseover text: "There are lots of very smart people doing fascinating work on cryptographic voting protocols. We should be funding and encouraging them, and doing all our elections with paper ballots until everyone currently working in that field has retired.")
As a software engineer, that's pretty accurate.
This software engineer agrees.

NASA takes three years to test and change code before it is used on a spacecraft. We would want a strict testing and development process like that for many systems. Not the slapdash stuff we are forced to do in short timelines.

Wasn't one of the issue Trump raised after 2016 that people were going and voting at a polling location and then changing their clothes, coming back and voting again? Also buses of voters being moved in to vote from all over and out of state?

What's stopping that from happening this year? Other than reality, of course.

A delay of a few days will make absolutely no difference in the results. This is just something else for the liberals to complain about. The P.O. has been in financial trouble for years, finally someone is doing something about it and they get criticized.
trump has had almost 4 years to do something about it. Why suddenly now?

The Soros/Hillary Deep Sate has been preventing Trump from fulfilling God's plan for America, that is why Biden want to kill God if he is elected.

We now file taxes on-line. If it is safe and secure enough for that why not voting?
Because the IRS is one agency. Voting involves 50 separate agencies.

It did happen, you know, that people voted in two different states.

I thought he was just complaining about the three million Mexicans that voted for Hillary Clinton.

YES! This is why all should support TRUMP! Trump has actually held a BIBLE!
If you actually believe that, like most Trump supporters, it explains why our country is in such bad shape.
