The deck works really great in my metagame. However, I still havent tested against Ravager Affinity *no one wants to put out that much money to make the deck*
Here are the general way you handle some match ups
Ravager affinity.
Like i said, i havent tested this, but in theory, here is how i would play it. First, pray i go first so i can counter a turn 2 ravager. Aether Spell bomb is your friend. They wont sacrifice too much if they know you are just going to bounce their ravager before damage hits the stack. Save the pyrites for Deciple of the vault. Drop broodstar as early as you can to keep ornithomter in check. Its not an easy match.
After sideboarding, things *should* get better. Get rid of the AA's and maybe even some overides, Ravager Affinity is too fast to counter everything. Bringing the Pyroclasms. It will force them to do things they dont want to such as sacrifice things prematurely because they dont want to lose the ravager. It also clears out ornithopther and diciple as well as Arcbound workers. Sure, theyll just sacrifice it all to Ravager in response, but it limits their board options. You may want to side in Echoing Truth, +1/+1 counters hate bounce. Damping Matrix should aslo come in, perhaps at the expense of the Talismans. you want that Matrix down Turn three. It totally throws their game off.
Clamp Bidding - Side in the COP Red and Pyroclasms. Side out the Assert Authorities and Aether spell bombs. Maybe a Pyrite spell bomb or 2 if you want to sub in 4 COP and 4 Pyro. DO NOT LET BIDDING RESOLVE!!! The deck has at least 8 counters at any given time, 10 if you dont sub out the A.A.'s. In the first match just try to drop an every enforcer and counter as much as you can. Blow stuff up with pyrite, then drop Brood Star and swing. After sideboarding the match should be a joke. Once COP hits the field you are in good shape. Clear the field with pyroclasm and just start swinging.
U/W or MWC control
First match just try and stop Akromas Vengence from resolving. If they get it to go off you probably lost. Second match, Sub in Sacred grounds and the Echoes just in case you need to bounce soldier tokens. Dont over commit to the field if they use a lot of Obilvion stones. Once again, as long as you can stop the vengence's from resolving, things should be ok.
W/R Slide- no clue, havent tested. Try to counter Slide and lightning rift. Hope for a early lighting grieves. Not sure what I would sideboard. Maybe Matrixes to stop their main enchanments.
Elves!
Really Really pain in the butt. They pack so much artifact hate it isn't funny. I dont have much advice for the first match up, hope you get luck. After sideboarding things get better. Sub in pyroclasms. If Elves are really popular by you, run four Pyros in the sideboard and use every last one of them. They can help you contain your opponents board. Also think about using Matrix. Its going to be a bit target for them, but it stops timberwatch, wellwisher, and things of that nature.
hope this helps
Here are some sideboard suggestions
If you are really really afraid of Ravager, and U/W control isnt bing in your area, throwShatters in your board instead of Sacred Grounds or Echoing Truths.
If you are really afraid Slide, switch Darksteel Citadels for Tree of Tales in the main deck, and add naturalize to the sideboard.
