Why does the linearity of a function have anything to do with its reliability? Population growths are usually non-linear and yet they describe accurately what happens in nature. Why does the rate at which evolution takes place have to be a linear function?

Well you are right to some extend. There are some limits in what evolution can do but it won't bring evolution to an actual end. As long as there is reproduction there will be evolution and there is no end goal evolution tries to reach.

YEC proponents are deluded by "faith" because they refuse to believe that God created the laws of nature. And only at rare times does He violate the laws of nature.
