Looking for Christian conversations

Greetings! As my profile states, I'm from Texas (US). I'm a lover of rain and gray skies but living in the desert. However, it's home and I love it here.
I've been a Christian (grew up in a religious household) for basically all my life, though I accepted Christ at 14. I've had my ups and downs since then (living in a down right now). I've been and am trying to grow stronger in the truth and let go of the religious strongholds. They have a way of sinking in a taking root; it's hard to shake them and learn what's truly a salvation issue.
Looking forward to getting to know this forum and maybe some of you as well. Hoping I'll have the wisdom and presence of mind to hold off on posting before I've done a lot of reading and familiarizing myself with the community.
