Looking for a brother!

I have just a few christian friends where im from and i was looking for someone who would be committed to praying, sharing stories, confession, building each other with mutual edification, etc. Kinda like a pen pal, except purely christian orientated. If anyone would be interested let me know.

Looking for a dude friend (im married and a female would be borderline inappropriate.) Age 20 - 35. It be awesome if we could keep in touch atleast every 3 days or so.

This may seem weird but the christian life is a hard life to live when your rolling solo.

Wow I think that is a great idea that you have. No I am not trying to become your pen pal I am a girl and most likely old enough to be your mother.. lol. But I like and understand your thoughts here.

I use to live in Oklahoma not far from Tulsa where I worked.. I loved it there. We all called it the Buckle of the Bible Belt.. not a bad thing, but with Oral Roberts there, and the little bit of a town I lived in Inola (Hay capital of the world) had more churches in the little town than streets, when I lived there 14 yrs ago.

At the same time I do understand, solo, yes same here in a way, I am changing my religion in a way, while my family is Christian I am looking into the Orthodoxy and here I am very alone. I am praying for you, and hope you find someone to help you along with your Christan journey, best of luck!

I don't make the age cut, but I was curious about why not your wife, if anyone deserves the most confidential information and struggles, the one your one with is a logical choice

Hey brother, I don't make the age cut either - not even close - but if you didn't get any takers I'm here. I agree with the need you're talking about and feel strongly that this is something the church has failed at miserably. Yes, we need to share everything with our wives and not exclude them, but guys need to talk to guys as well. Over the years I've had little success finding any other guy who was interested in this and available, so you may find the same thing. It's up to you if you want to try. Otherwise, I hope you find a godly brother who will be a straight shooter and will hang in there with you.

I know how you feel. I am a 3 yr believer who is entirely self taught. I don't have a church yet. I am a truck driver in the Alberta oil patch. I work ungodly hours(literally). I rarely get a weekend off so finding a church is going to be a challenge. I started listening to radio christian broadcasts after accidentally listening to focus on the family. Accidental in that there was a person telling a very interesting life story. I became hooked before I found out it was a christian based story. By then I kept listening. I thought hey, focus on fam. is a pretty good show. What else is on this channel (161 serius). I found I like the programs. No Jimmy Swaggart screaming repent ye sinners LOL. Just good sermons. I went to a christian store to buy a bible. They talked me into a bible on disk, narative, OLD and New test. I wore it out. Bought another and wore it out. I now make copies to play in my big truck hour after hour. My knowledge of the bible is pretty extensive now. NOt meaning to brag.
I found this sight while searching for just such a thing. I really feel the need to reach out for fellowship. I want like minded people to share with. To listen to. etc...After all. The bible says "bad company corupts good character", so good company should build my character up. Should it not?
Now for the bad part. At first I was on fire on this site. Just check my stats post history. Love, patience, edification. I posted with care in every word. With a God Bless at the end of every post. I soon discovered so many are posting carelessly or out and out trash. Even on the well meant threads. I discovered I started to be more abrupt in my posts. Quick answers, no blessing, as if to say-smarten up eh. Now I am even posting with a -Get a life- feeling in my responses. The people who are loose with their translations are just invent scriptures are getting to me. I love my God. His word is Holy and I owe my very life to Jesus Christ. -----well anyway, you get the idea. I came to this thread because it sounded like a place i could recharge. Get some edification for myself and enjoy posts from solid christian people.
I was suprised and rather pleased to see your post. I could almost feel in you the same thing that led me here. If you want to share conversation with me i cannot guarantee how often i will respond. Sorry i put a age limit on it lol, thats not the point. I just thought if someone was too much older then me it be more of a teacher and student relationship. I was just looking for someone who wants to be real and share in the struggles and joys of following Christ. I do share alot with my wife, and i actually need to step up to the plate a lil more when it comes to reading and praying with her. But i do feel like i drag her along and it makes it hard at times. To everyone else there is no reason we cant do this as a small group? I would love to help us out in organizing it. Maybe 3-4 of us. What do you think? Age is not a issue, more so lets look at each other as brothers!

Maybe we can make our own group, i saw a feature like that in my profile. There we can keep our own forum. What do you think?

Hey just was searching through my history and caught up on this thread, I was surprised with the friend request, because I didn't know what the reason was....ha ha ha I find there are alot of strange doctrines floating around this website, and I get a few of my post deleted daily...ha ha ha, I even started a thread called "How long would Jesus last on this website" and it was deleted....lol....any way as long as I'm still here I'll have a listening ear and sharing heart.....I've pretty much been around the block and back not to many issues I haven't dealt with.
