Are these acrylic? I like that you work all the way to the edge. I struggle with making full scenes. The bottom wave ones is great. If you find the new ones let me know. Wave paintings are particularly tricky when I have tried them, though I was doing either watercolor or digital.
Thank you! This means a lot, especially from a Dutch person, from the country that gave us Escher, Rembrandt, and Vermeer, and VVG of course. (My wife is from an Amsterdam suburb so I get to visit the museums of Holland.)
Well, I am not dutch. But my husband is. When my parents came to visit us when we were still newly married, he said he could understand the way Rembrandt was inspired with his style of painting, as he thought there was a special light in the sky. I didn't know Escher was dutch too. I did like the "stairs" by Escher, I also like such paintings/drawings.
So you have a dutch wife?Do you visit The Netherlands a lot?
I am glad you liked my comments too! You are very welcome!![]()

Found a few more wave paintings. Most humbling subject ever.
We visit about once a year and stay with my in laws in Aalsmeer. Over the years I've spent different holidays in Holland. One Christmas it was so cold we were able to go ice skating on the canals in Amsterdam. People were selling hot chocolate out of their house boats. Where are you living in Holland? The whole country is beautiful so I'm sure it's lovely.
I live in a town named Ede, it isn't too far away from Amsterdam, around 1hour travel by train.
Yeah. I have a son and he has cousins in Holland so we 've been a few times for the kids. You have been there as well?
Some abstract but there was a lot of van Gogh including a lot of his charcoal figure drawings I never knew existed. I would bet the art circulates a lot so it's probably different every time.I haven't yet visited the Kröller Müller Museum. I have heard there are more abstract paintings in there?
