I vote osx becuase i have faith that one day they will port it over to pc systems. The day that happens will be the day of a new os revolution.

Unlikely. One of the perks of Macs are that the OS always knows exactly what hardware is in the system and exactly how to use it. If the OS is ported over to x86 or some other system, you wont have that perk anymore.

Well yes LX! :) But if they fixed it all up for PCs and marketed it as a rival to windows, I believe microsoft would have a problem on their hands. ;)

One company can't stay on top forever! Someone has to rival windows sooner or later.

Well, one could argue that *nix is already becoming that rival. Besides, in my opinion Apple would be a tough sell when it comes to porting their OS over to i386/amd64 -- as Lecarde said, they're used to having total, absolute control over what system hardware is being used. Even if OS X *was* ported over, there would be a huge amount of work involved before it would have decent driver support.

What's wrong with the FreeBSD logo? I've heard this comment before, and still don't understand it. A 'daemon' is a background UNIX process, while the pitchfork they're often holding in logos is a pun on process 'forks'. This common misconception drove NetBSD to redesigning their logo recently, as a matter of fact.

if they fixed it up for all pcs, it'd end up being similar to windows with a mac interface, and I dont know about you but I actually like the classic mac interface more than mac os x

I think the problem is you want to keep your NTFS partition. This means you have to use a non-destructive re-partitioning software, of which I am only familiar with one, Partition Magic. I don't know of any freeware or open source partitioning software that exists that can resize an NTFS partition.
