That's arrogance?

It seems much more arrogant to believe that the entire universe was made just for one species on a single planet, in a single solar system, and in a single galaxy.

When you go to the ballpark, is it arrogant NOT to believe that they are playing the game just for you?

But god also so hated the world as to flood it and promise a future of flame-broiled destruction, because clearly god doesn't love the world enough to just let it exist without destroying it personally. Like a child kicking over their sandcastle after having to return home after a day at the beach. But with fire, because god promised no more water.

For god so hated the sin arbitrarily based on its own opinions, that all sinners must burn in hell, no trial, and only those who worship, not those who do good, are given, bribing god with praise.

And to be blunt, aren't we all supposed to be god's children? What is one more to the countless thousands god has slain both personally and ordered to be slain, many in horrific ways? Many people have been crucified, it wasn't an exceptional way to die either, nor the most prolonged or painful.

So God, Who created the earth first, then created the universe around it, then made us in His image & likeness, then sent His Son to die here, is sufficient for someone to consider us "arrogant" if we think we're unique?

No, the arrogant part is thinking that a deity made the whole universe centered around earth, which was made to be the domain of our species, which apparently was made in the image of said powerful being. How is that not the essense of hubris? To not only make ourselves the center of the universe, but in the image (literal or not) of the supposedly powerful and perfect being that made it all?

No, it is what my generosity leads me to. Disowning is a lot less bad than the actual sending of people to burn in eternal hellfire on the basis of belief. I am not saying something bad about god, I am portraying a horrific part of your beliefs in a less severe and more comical sounding way.

Even though it is worse than a crowd of Christians lynching me because I am an atheist. At least the lynching is temporary.

One doesn't really use the scientific method on morality.

You're right on the button and most of the greatest Christian thinkers of our time would agree with you about the 'horrific part' -- in fact, I've mentioned this before, that even amongst conservative evangelical scholars it's only accepted because it's in the Bible -- not because it fits. It's so contrary to the idea of a benevolent and loving God, that it reeks of irrational justice and throws into question the supposed mercy of God.
I'll add that what one has to bare in mind when it comes to the Bible, is that it flows out of human minds and much of it is filled with the superstitions and fears in minds that were evolving. We're hopefully learning (by now) that we are not going to drag the monsters of yesteryear forward into now, just because 'It is written'
