I can honestly say that number is essentially meaningless, given that it is no indication of the QUALITY of your posts.

However, I will state that as far as I am aware, you were pretty set in stone YEC, and tended to make verbal merry-go-rounds in discussions about it.

All I said was that it is the quality of posts, not the number of them, that matters, not that you don't have responses to challenges. They tend to be dodges and mind games, but you have consistency to them.

All I said was that it is the quality of posts, not the number of them, that matters, not that you don't have responses to challenges. They tend to be dodges and mind games, but you have consistency to them.

AV doesn't realize that people do read his posts. I read them, right up until he brought the Omphalos hypothesis on board.
He's made up his quota on number threads.

My evaluation of the whole situation goes like this:

AV: I have seen some of your past posts make for some entertainment on Fundies Say the Darnest Things; some of the things you say are very silly, although I don't even know if you consider any debate you have seriously to begin with. You're fun to talk to though, and I think many people feel that way, because when you go inactive, many threads, even ones you didn't start, go silent until you return.

And I know you are very proud of your post number, but have you ever mentioned it and actually had someone view you as more legitimate because of it? It puts people off when you do that. Almost as much as one particular carcinogenic tragedy that I see you are still mentioning despite many people asking you not to do that.

However, in regards to your stance, any doubt about it would have to result from someone not reading your posts. You are very open about being a YEC and when you aren't blatantly stating it, your position in debates highly implies it. And if your post number is good for anything, it provides significant evidence that you are not a troll (in that even the most dedicated trolls wouldn't be able to stalk a forum like this for that long), despite some of your infamous challenges seeming rather trolly, and your choice of avatar pic.

In short, AV is silly, and some people need to read a little closer or maybe just ask if they aren't sure.

I read 'em for entertainment (when I'm bored, and no discussion is happening) -- Sure, he like anyone else has his moments of glory -- but as far engaging the actual topic, I think he likes to hover on the periphery of whatever is being discussed.
