  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not according to the Bible.

Humans are tripartites, made in the image and likeness of God from the dust of the ground.

Apes are beasts of the field.

According to God's own creation, humans are apes. We share genetics with apes, we have the same body plan and body form (minus one or two things) as apes. For every definition of the word, we are apes.

No -- according to academia, humans are apes.

No -- we have plus two more things as apes: souls and spirits.

Only on paper.

Not according to the Bible.

Don't care.

Humans are tripartites, made in the image and likeness of God from the dust of the ground.

This must be some claim of your bible, because it is not correct. Humans are not made of dust. You can check the composition of dust and humans and compare, or you could find out if humans grow by consuming dust.

Apes are beasts of the field.

The only apes laboring in fields are humans.

Don't care.
Some do though:
What's an ape in your opinion?
At least, enough to ask.
Hans Blaster said:

Indeed it is:

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Hans Blaster said:
... because it is not correct.
That's your opinion, of course.
Hans Blaster said:
Humans are not made of dust.
That too is your opinion, of course.

The Bible says otherwise though:

Genesis 18:27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:
Hans Blaster said:
You can check the composition of dust and humans and compare, or you could find out if humans grow by consuming dust.
Just like God took sea water and made land, He can take land and make man.

I've discussed God converting the dust of the ground to CHNO molecules before.

Would you like me to look it up?

EARTH -- not FIELDS.

Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

Do you know the difference?

Define the term ‘kind’. Science doesn’t.
Kind = Genus

genus (n.)

(Latin plural genera), 1550s as a term of logic, "kind or class of things" (biological sense dates from c. 1600), from Latin genus (genitive generis) "race, stock, kind; family, birth, descent, origin"

You wrote "beasts of the field" and that *sure* sounds like an animal toiling in a field. (This reminds me -- this ape needs to dig his garden.)

Does "earth" mean "soil"? (Since it is not capitalized as "Earth" to mean the planet.) What are the beasts of the soil? Do they have to live in the soil? (Earthworms, gophers, ants) Or what?

Just like God took sea water and made land, He can take land and make man.

The secondary component of sea water is salt (NaCl). The kind of land that you can make from sea water is a salt flat.

I've discussed God converting the dust of the ground to CHNO molecules before.

Would you like me to look it up?

Fulminic acid? No I really don't want to see your version of chemistry.

So Can humans mate and have offspring with anything other then humans?
No they can not, Humans [a kind] can mate with other humans only for offspring.
A dog [another kind] can not mate with cats[another kind], to produce offspring.

Ignorance is bliss, isn't it?

Not that you'd really understand anyway.
