The data is in the rocks, not in paper. It is only written on paper after the data is analyzed.
Analyzed and interpreted, I take it.

What about the data that's missing though?

You know -- like missing links?

That has nothing to do with your "only on paper" nonsense claim. You're flailing again. Trying to manipulate the course of this discussion again.

For the record, whales only existed *after* the time of dinosaurs.

Really?

If you can tell me what those blue lines are covering up -- (not what they represent, what they're covering up) -- then you'll know where I'm coming from.

Until then ... well ... I guess you'll have to keep thinking it's a "nonsense claim."

The poster behind them? That's what the blue lines are "covering up".

What's your point, that you don't understand a cladogram?

Can a human and an ape mate?
Animals mate after there kind.
What's an ape in your opinion?

A chimp can't mate with an orangutan... so is there no such thing as an ape?

Ancestors of humans and modern apes did mate, we can see this in the genetic evidence showing that we are one family.

Neither can a chimp and a gorilla, or a gorilla and an organutan.

Doesn't mean they aren't apes.

A beast* of the earth.

Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

* beast:
  • Merriam-Webster: a lower animal as distinguished from a human being
  • dictionary.com: any non-human animal
  • Macmillan Dictionary: an animal, especially a dangerous or strange one
  • The Free Dictionary: an animal other than a human
  • Britannica Dictionary: a wild animal that is large, dangerous, or unusual
  • Wiktionary: any animal other than a human; usually only applied to land vertebrates
  • WordReference.com: any nonhuman animal

Oh, let's play the dictionary definition game! beast:
  • Merriam-Webster: a contemptible person
  • dictionary.com: a cruel, coarse, filthy, or otherwise beastlike person
  • Macmillan Dictionary:a cruel or immoral person, especially one who behaves in a violent or sexual way
  • The Free Dictionary: a brutal, contemptible person
  • Britannica Dictionary: an unkind or cruel person
  • Wiktionary: a person who behaves in a violent, antisocial or uncivilized manner
  • WordReference.com: a cruel, coarse, or filthy person
Now, before you go complaining consider this: cattle and creeping things are already covered under the definitions you chose, so clearly we are looking for a different meaning of the word beast.

Oh, let's play the dictionary definition game!
Do you want my opinion, or don't you?

I gave you mine and backed it up with Scripture and the dictionary.

But you can’t with science.

If you’re going to use religion to explain science then you first have to decide whose religion you’re going to use as your authority.

Are you saying Shemjaza asked his question wrong?

Here's what he asked:

What's an ape in your opinion?
Are you saying he should have asked:

"What's an ape, according to [insert religion here]?"

I don't know what an ape is according to Hinduism, or Zoroastrianism, or even Christianity.

But I do know what an ape is, according to my opinion.
