To me evolution is change into something we improve upon...as far as I can see our dna, molecules, etc are not evolving, if so , we wouldnt continue to break down...or have mutations that cause problems. I guess what I am trying to say is if we are still evolv I ng why are we not bettering our system (body)? To me evolution is for improving not decay

Another empty claim.

Oh my. One one hand we have a a kid flapping his yap. On the other someone who actually works in a related field. Who to believe....

I don't guess very well? Tell me, what was inaccurate about that guess?

Because we're observing evolution in real time. Steve's group has been working on the evolution of the Ebola virus since the outbreak. Here's a press release.
http://www.broadinstitute.org/news/6017

Evolution has also been observed in an isolated population of Italian wall lizards.
http://www.pnas.org/content/105/12/4792.full

So. What have you got beside flapping your yap?

Did you even think before you wrote that?

Oh the irony.

You haven't even shown that DNA can't come about. You just said "it's impossible" and gave nothing in response.
And for the record, I do believe that God created DNA. The actual evidence given by actual scientists who have studied His actual creation shows this.

No they do not! If it was the case we would find functional DNA all through nature outside of cells, but there is none that we have ever known of. Cell development and function are dependent on the initial presence of functional DNA being IN the cell, however after its removed from a cell, DNA is no longer functional outside of a cellular environment (it ceases to function, add this to the fact that it does not previously exist anywhere we have ever looked).

So no functional DNA no Eukaryotic cell, no Eukaryotic cell no functional DNA...thus one did not evolve independent of the other thus both would have to have evolved simultaneously with all necessary inter-dependent subsystems, enzymes, and functions in place.

Awww, how cute. You think, "I know you are, but what am I" is an effective retort.

I think understanding the question you are reading and answering accordingly, instead of avoiding it would be effective. Not sure where cute falls into it.

To take it further, here is an example:

When you make a comment like the following, it's worthless unless you show "how" it is fact instead of avoiding that part...

Actually it's a fact. Like I said, you should try reading more.

Understand now?

You don't guess very well. We see evolution happening all the time. In fact, I've just been working on a couple of papers describing the evolution of Ebola virus during the recent outbreak.

Wouldnt those be mutations?

To me evolution is change into something we improve upon...

That is an incorrect definition of evolution. The most basic, modern definition is "a change over time of gene variation representation in populations". Part of that gene variation comes about due to mutations and over longer periods of time, those variations can lead to speciation. Evolution isn't about improvement. Beetles, nematodes and bacteria are tremendously successful beings for example.

as far as I can see our dna, molecules, etc are not evolving, if so , we wouldnt continue to break down...or have mutations that cause problems.

You really need to read up the subject. Some mutations cause genetic diseases and conditions. I recently learned I have a variant gene called HLA-B27 which causes the condition Ankylosing spondylitis, because I didn't get it diagnosed soon enough, I've developed a hunch back and can barely turn my head. That, however, is a genetic condition, not the sort of mutations we're talking about with regard to evolution.

I guess what I am trying to say is if we are still evolv I ng why are we not bettering our system (body)? To me evolution is for improving not decay

You think eukaryotic cells evolved first?

The Bible has not stood the test of time when it comes to scientific knowledge.
It says that bats are birds, that insects have four legs, that you can striped goats by showing goats a striped stick, that the world's tallest mountain was covered by a height of 15 cubits of water, all of which have shown to be wrong.
That shows that it was written by men, not God.
Your PRATTs aside ...

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

I know about mutations...my 13 yr ol# has 2 that cause liver defects so he does not process ] protein. SometimeS I wonder if him having 2 instead of the one it takes to cause his liver disease somehow counteract each other so his body can tolerate more...or maybe was just Gods favor

I guess one will believe anything anyone on the net tells them if is supports their "claims". :)

Because we're observing evolution in real time. Steve's group has been working on the evolution of the Ebola virus since the outbreak. Here's a press release.

So. What have you got beside flapping your yap?

No yap at all and the only flapping is you making no logical or sensible accusations, your letting your imagination and what you would like to see blind you. It's no more than a claim until proven, and Steve simply made a claim, hence my logical and accurate reply. but I fully expect you to have a feild day with absolutely nothing to base your accusations on...won't be the first time.

Did you even think before you wrote that?

Oh the irony.

Now you see where the true irony lies. This is hilarious. :)

Mistakesin the dna sequence that causes a change. In my experience causes deformities and disease...guess could be good ones..

example when a virus mutates by making itself stronger=r or different to repel medications

not bad for someone been outta highschool for 15 years and 3 semesters of college huh?

My thing about evolution is if it happened why did it stop?
Good question.

What I don't understand is:

If God is still creating through evolution, is He suddenly going to stop creating and destroy everything?

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
