Hmmm-- That's a good question~ (; Maybe It's because I wan't to be able to defend myself from perverts... Or be able to hold on to something in an emergency, and not get tired from holding it.. o:
I'm mostly working on my left arm, to get it as strong as my Right arm.. xD Ahaha~

It's hot here-- You should send some rain over this way! (;

meowmix, this thread was a pretty cool initiative! Perfect if you need to vent something!

Like:

After a move with my family I have not yet started school, no job etc. etc. so I haven't seen friends as much as I use to do when I have school everyday. I am longing out of the house all the time to get a little bit more structure and to see some friends, being without any everyday routine like school, with only parents around makes me go nuts! So today it was finally a youth group meeting again. Longing to just talk and be social with people of my age in the real world I went there excited. And now to what ANNOYS ME! Almost like EVERYONE is sitting with there phone! We are like 15 people sitting in sofas and chairs around a table, perfect for talking, but NOPE. The phone is what is important. What is happening to the world, is the phone more important than friend "live"? :O

David, I completely agree with you!!!! I don't like how on bus rides (perfect time to talk!) everyone puts in their earphones and texts other friends. Church has the same problem though. I think students use their phones as a way to fill in awkward moments and distance themselves from situations. But seriously, there is a time to play with phones and a time to talk and be social!

I go with that on bus rides too! And Sweden is even worse than what at least NYC/NJ was in my experience! Although I'm sometimes one of those listening to music on the bus (that's when there's no one I know of course or if I really don't want to talk with the person in question although I'd wish there was a way for more people to conversation! There are so many rules on a bus that everyone knows; don't lock eyes on someone, don't touch anyone - make yourself little and try to disappear, be quiet and try to fit into the crowds. I'm almost thinking of doing something as radical (Sweden is the most secularized country in the world) as reading the bible on my bus rides in the future. Just to stand out from the crowds and show that you can be different and to see if that could make poeple talk! Although in Sweden being religious is sometimes almost the same as being totally brainwashed, non-thinking, unaware of the world and a complete outcast. The problem is that a lot of friends goes with the same bus from times to time and I don't know if I'm ready for all the [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] rumors that will be spread around!

See, I actually am okay with people listening to music on the bus. However, I have social disorders, not diagnosed- as I don't feel it's necessary to have some psychologist tell me how to be. Our world has become one of social engineering. Anyway, that's beside the point. I shut down in crowds, I become emotionally distraught and start to fall into a state of momentary depression. Music is my life, as I have found very introspective and often instrumental music helps my mind process social situations. So, if I'm in a scenario where I don't know anybody well and I'm confined to an environment in which I am forced to be around people, I will put my headphones in and shut people out. I find nothing wrong with that. We don't always need to talk. We need to figure ourselves out, too, and you can't do that in public.

First off I want to apologize if I was offending you or anyone with what I said - I realized it turned out in a pretty harsh way. That was not my intention!

I'm also okay with people listening to music on the bus! I do that a lot of times myself too, but sometimes I just wish that all of us humans in these days were integrating more and helping each other. Of course it's pretty hard to do all this by talking with strangers on the bus instead of listening to music - although I think I see a trend today where interpersonal real life communication is replaced by turning into yourself and your phone, or just communicating a lot via computers rather than meeting. For example there are many thousands of offices etc. where people could write an e-mail to someone sitting in the next room with instructions or something rather than going over. There are a lot of advantages with our electronically based communication, it's faster, more effective, easier etc. Although it seems to me that we have a need to trust each others enough to talk right to each other instead of distancing ourselves by hiding behind a screen etc.

Although I do of couse understand your situation and I love music myself to and sometimes I just hate being around to many people or when I generally feel stresed and if I those times have my headphones and a few good tracks it could save my day. But see this more as a general idea. I think I have a point in it, but we do of course all have different opinions, different situations at our places, countries, towns etc.

So what is your (anyone's) opinion?

LOL, RIGHT? gjknkdfgnge---

It's worse when you move away-- and then like a year later you re-visit your old friends who live 2 hours away, and you end up uncomfortable and bored out of your mind. Especially since all she did was sit on the couch on her ipod! XD
Like-- I guess both of us changed. :/ I don't know.

Anyways.. I have to move. Again. This summer.
I'm kinda depressed about it. I was hoping to graduate with my friends. *sigh*
In June, I'm leaving my home-- to go on vacation with my Family up in Wisconsin and Michigan, then In August I'm heading back to California to reach my new home.

Ugh. I've never had such good and close friends than the ones I have today.
I'm friends with almost everyone around.. Annoy a lot... [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] many of them off... But in the end we're all friends. ;A;
*criessss*

It's been a rough couple months.
But I must pull through. x_x

Meowmix:

I'm so sorry to hear that you are going to move again, when you have settled down. I moved to NJ last summer, stayed like half a year and moved back to Sweden this spring. I mean that was only for half a year (not extremely long to be away from friends, and not long time enough to make really good friends over there) and I still considered it pretty tough. I can hardly imagine how it feels to you moving around when you are doing it over a longer time. I hope that you are able to pull through, stay in touch with those you love the most, try to "(always) look on the bright side of life" - I mean it is also a good experience to live in different areas with new people and daily life, it's just sad that it can cost our friends.

I will pray that God will provide you with the strenght needed to get through this, that he will help you to grow from this, to somehow try to get something good out of it. I will pray that you will meet new people that can understand your situation and that will be friendly and welcoming to you, and that you can live over a longer period in CA without having to move again.

Stay strong, and remember to pray a lot - that will give you comfort, understanding and something to hold on to.

SparkyMaddie:

That sounds pretty awesome! So what are you studying at College/University, I guess something advanced since you say "survived" :p

I just feel lonely. D:

We have soooo many group projects these next few weeks. And exams too. :(

Were in groups we got to choose our selves. I don't really like it when we get to choose our own groups. I've been in the same group with my friend for 3 projects in a row now. Its not that I don't like her, or don't want to be in the same group as her, but I also want to be with other people if you understand? (I sound stuck up, eeh..)
The reason I don't like choosing groups ourselves is that I don't get into a group.:/ My teacher had us write on a sheet of paper who were going to be in groups with.By the time the list came to me all the girls were in groups already. (I sound like the forever alone type..) :(

.. I don't know why, but I feel like I don't have any friends here, heh. They're just.. class mates. Maybe I have trust issues of sorts. I just moved here in June though. Its a small town and all the people here grew up with each other.
Lol.. I feel like the only friends I have are in other countries. >.<

Sorry for putting you through having to read all that
Love you all <333
Have a blessed day :3

I understand where you are coming from ImperfectGirl. Whenever we do group projects in school I always don't know where to go so I always work with the other kids that have no where to go.
