No, I wouldn't be angry.Would you be angry if the divinity of Jesus Christ was said to be unorthodox and only allowed to be discussed in UT? How about the trinity?
I believe in reincarnation and I believe that the Bible makes several references to reincarnation. I find it frustrating that it is an orthodox Jewish belief and yet not an orthodox Christian belief. But it doesn't make me angry. That is just the way it is and I have to accept it. I think that when Christ returns people will start to remember their own previous incarnations and then there will be nothing to argue about. Until then I just have to bide my time and be content with my own beliefs and try to respect other people's beliefs, although I clearly have a hard time with that sometimes. But when I do have a hard time with it I take it as a message to myself to simply stop arguing with the person that is making me feel so frustrated. I don't take it as a sign that I need to seek out people that frustrate me more vigorously. If you believed Jesus was born of a virgin, but anytime you said so in GT they modded your post and sent the thread to UT, you would also be angry.
You don't understand because you don't believe in an afterlife, so when it says death you read something very different into it than what someone who believes in an afterlife does. Death is not an end, and for people who understand this Romans 6:23 reads very differently than it does to you who thinks that death is an absolute end.The Bible (Romans 6:23) specifically and clearly says that the wages of sin is death NOT eternal torment, so if any viewpoint should be only allowed to be discussed in UT, it should be the POV that there is eternal torment in hell for sinners.
For other people the story of Lazarus and the rich man is not a symbolic parable refering to purely fanciful ideas, it is a concrete reality. There is also Luke 23:43 which clearly speaks of an afterlife, as well as 1 Samuel 28. Then there is all the OT rererences to bans on speaking to the dead, which would not be the case if the dead could not be talked to.
So the Bible gives a lot of evidence for an afterlife and it shouldn't be surprising to you that the orthodox view on death and Romans 6:23 is different from your own. It all boils down to whether or not belief in an afterlife is orthodox, which it clearly is.
